Good read, but not as good the second time through (the first time, I was in the Muskokas, drinking a Canadian microbrew, and on a beach near the woods, can't get much more Canadian then that). I like his more serious stuff, truth be told. Hey Nostradamus!, Girlfriend in a Coma, that sort of stuff. His comedic writing tends to become less relevant as the times about which he is writing passes, but that could be a hindsight thing. Good writer though.Matt_LRR said:-Snipe!-

I can't wait for the next book to come out from the new author, he did a great job on #12.Argtee said:Pretty much this.MagicMouse said:Entire Wheel of Time series...
I don't have the ENTIRE Wheel of Time series, (1-7 and 9. I couldn't find 8 anywhere) but the ones that I've already read (1-5. I'm almost finished 5) are really good.
I'm not saying that book 12 is bad. I haven't really heard much about it, but I'm sure it's still good. I'm just saying that it probably would've been...different if Robert Jordan wrote it...

and just like the bible, it is painfully boring.Leopard said:The Silmarillion. The thing is my freaking bible.
