Awesome book I read as a kid, never personally met anyone who knew of the book or its series.

Out of the trilogy this was my favourite - the characters and the fantasy behind it all sucked me in when I first read it - I couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.

Best book I own, by far.

Well, I guess it might be my collector's ed of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ( http://www.parrishbooks.com/catalog/Small3089.jpg ) if you want price/rarity/make wise but my personal favorites are these three:

(I'm well aware of how much this makes me a loser, but the writing is most excellent and Joanna Dark is such an awesome & likable character)

Hmm, I cant really say. Though as far as Novels go I think I will go with 1984. Its really a fantastic book. Gotta say it DOES deserve its reputation.

Good read, but not as good the second time through (the first time, I was in the Muskokas, drinking a Canadian microbrew, and on a beach near the woods, can't get much more Canadian then that). I like his more serious stuff, truth be told. Hey Nostradamus!, Girlfriend in a Coma, that sort of stuff. His comedic writing tends to become less relevant as the times about which he is writing passes, but that could be a hindsight thing. Good writer though.

If I had to pick a favorite book, I'd go with the also Canadian Robertson Davies:

It is only one of many great novels I've read though.

Entire Wheel of Time series...
Pretty much this.

I don't have the ENTIRE Wheel of Time series, (1-7 and 9. I couldn't find 8 anywhere) but the ones that I've already read (1-5. I'm almost finished 5) are really good.
Yeah they are great books, very complex with alot of deep characters. I can't wait for the next book to come out from the new author, he did a great job on #12.
It's terrible that Robert Jordan died. I'm sure that book 12 would be different if he would've wrote.

I'm not saying that book 12 is bad. I haven't really heard much about it, but I'm sure it's still good. I'm just saying that it probably would've been...different if Robert Jordan wrote it...
[sub]Not sure how to explain, but I hope you understand what I mean[/sub]
^
But actually this, or maybe Sword of truth, or maybe Sarah Douglas's axis trilogy.

I'm sure it would've been different but at the same time I'm satisfied with how he wrote it.
As it is we will never know what we lost.

Anyone who thinks this series is bad should rot.
That's right, my opinion is better than yours!

... Deal with it!

Edit: For the folk talking about this series, yes, it is a shame that Jordan died, but I still feel that the book was damn good. The ending in particular when:
Rand seems to finally be him again, after cleansing himself of his insanities.
When's the next book coming out, anyone know?
