I can't decide between Saturn's Children or Iron Sunrise, both by Charles Stross. I love the world of Iron Sunrise, but I love the characters of Saturn's Children, which has been a huge inspiration to me.
Enders Game by Orson Scott Card is my favorite, followed by the Lord of the Rings trilogy & the Dragonlance Chronicles...Lonesome Dove is one of my favorites too, it's pretty good for a western novel.
Awesome book I read as a kid, never personally met anyone who knew of the book or its series.
Out of the trilogy this was my favourite - the characters and the fantasy behind it all sucked me in when I first read it - I couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.
Best book I own, by far.
Well, I guess it might be my collector's ed of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ( http://www.parrishbooks.com/catalog/Small3089.jpg ) if you want price/rarity/make wise but my personal favorites are these three:

Hmm, I cant really say. Though as far as Novels go I think I will go with 1984. Its really a fantastic book. Gotta say it DOES deserve its reputation.
