Ahhh, come on, what's wrong with Ymbirtt? It's not that it's impossible to pronounce, it's just that nobody pronounces it my way.
You know this strikes me with yggdra union that name was fun to pronounce =D

I despise people who feel the need to name their GT after someone famous. Do they want people to think they're them? I'm sick and tired of seeing people named things like WillSmith3664 or ChuckNorris7689.
I think the number rule can be a bit flexible though, as long as the numbers are supposed to be there. For example, for some time I had a username DARKREAPER_13, in which the number at the end is something of a riddle, can anyone figure out why it's there?

13 is the most unlucky number?

I followed these rules. How many wizards do you see on XBL? None. It's all pirates and ninjas. Soon, the wizards and vikings will rise up and smite the pirates and ninjas!

Why is X considered the coolest letter anyway?

It's got nothing on D.
Because it's eXtreme, just like rollerblading and Gogurt.

It's not as extreme as extremadura

When people are so uncreative that they just slam their head on the keyboard and go with whatever comes up.
But seriously, I hate it when I run into people with the name "askjdhkljasdhgal" (and yes, I do run into people with those kinds of names".
I also hate it when people have twice as many vowels than consenents in their name (aaawsoomeemaaaan, i have seen that before).
This implies to MMOs as well

It's really not all that hard to come up with a decent name *looks at the 1500 page dictionary of mythology next to him* I take something roughly fitting from that, and adapt it a little, Except Kiytan, that was just random sounds that seemed good (oh - and Kiy is pronounced to rhyme with Sky, not to be pronounced like Key)

See I went with Helmethead47 for mine. And there is a reason behind it.

In soccer in high school two different people got concussions after headbutting me, so my friends made the necessary "you don't need a helmet if you join football!" jokes. Hence the Helmethead part.

47 has been the number I took for every sport I've ever played. I like it.

I used to make people who actually took tags seriously really annoyed with my old CS name. Being killed by xVaMpIrE.NiNjA.SaMuRaI.KiLlEr.UKx really got to some people!

I go by Lexodus on EVERYTHING, and have for years, so, as you can imagine, I was a little surprised when I came across "Lexosus", which, conveniently, had been created after me. They guy's explanation was a little sketchy.
"Well, you know... I just made it up."

I broke number 15 and 4. But my birth year is 1985. Add that I just used my first name and last initial as well.

Oh, another tip for if your name has been taken- spoonerize. It can be very funny.
If you don't know the legend of William Archibald Spooner, basically, swap the first sounds of the first word, i.e 'Ch', from 'Chuck', with the first sounds of the second word, i.e 'N', from 'Norris', to get from "Chuck Norris" to "Nuck Chorris". Other ones I have seen include Pig Bimple, which was a friend of mine with a rather odd sense of humour, and "Shoving Leopard", a play on a Christian title for God. Plus, Q is sooooo the best letter.
