Val smiled as he walked out of his room. The whole reason he took a room on the third deck was because they let you keep your baggage with you. That meant he had been able to keep his armor with him. They forced him to store his rifles in the cargo hold though, but it didn't stop Val from smuggling his pistol onto the ship. He heard shooting coming from several halls of the ship, and decided that armor piercing ammo would work best. He always followed his motto, 'When in doubt, go for armor piercing'. After he loaded the ammo, he quickly checked his Omni-Tool.
"Shields fully charged," Val said calmly. He felt a lot better in his armor. It was comforting to wear it, the knowledge that a shot hitting him would only damage the shields, and not tear through his clothing, ripping through him, and eventually killing him. He was always sure to keep his armor in top condition because of this. He always needed to know the limits of it. He needed to know its breaking point so he could know his.
He checked the halls on the third deck, hearing no firefights breaking out from any of the second class halls. He approached the stairwell and quickly analyzed the situation.
"Hm... Gunfire is coming from the lower decks. Judging by the sound of it, it must be several fights from several combatants. I have no knowledge on whom is fighting also, and by the sound of the automatic gunfire, they must be quite well equip. While my armor is fully charged, I do not have the weapondry to engage that many of them. Right then, head to the second deck, and regroup with any guards I find there. Maybe on of them can direct me to the right area of the cargo bay to find my weapons."
Val then climbed the set of stairs upwards to the second deck. He knew that the first class area would have more security, and that probably more people would be there. He opened the door to the hallway and saw a familiar Turian (Sparrow) standing by the doors of the elevator, carrying a shotgun, and an unfamiliar Quarian.
"It would have been to much to ask to have found some security personel here and not a drunk Turian, yet surprisingly well armed Turian."
