Yeah i probably will once i fight off people who hate on me for being a Juggalo first.
I'm even embarassed on knowing what a juggalo is, can't imagine how you're feeling at this moment as you've just admitted to be one.
I feel just fine. I'm just a fan of a group and nothing more.
Im quite sure that jonas brothers, justin bieber & co. fans feel fine just the same until they turn 30, realize what they've embraced in their former years, pull a smith&wesson to their chin and KABLEWTH.

I couldn't care less, honestly. And I don't think it is dying, either.

I don't see how it will die. People will always be the perfect tool to achieve that sound. Computers can try and simulate that, but that won't happen on an effortless and good level any soon... just too many variables to handle for them just yet.

For the material dynamics off a real guitar to be simulated in real time, the computer has to be really, really, really fast.

If you're gonna troll about how all new music is teh suxxors, go to youtube. They can be your new family. People listen to what people listen to. In the matter of taste, there is no dispute.
Deal with it I leave you with my favorite rap song, just to spite you.

ummmm... wow.
They aren't dying...

Just because the shitty overproduced guitar music on the radio has been replaced by shitty overproduced... eurotrance(that is honestly what it is... it's kinda hillarious actually, mainstream pop music has gone from being fake tough gangsta music to being fake cheesy cheese dance music for stupid clubbies...)

anyhoo.. yeah X)

You know its funny to me when I hear someone say this. Metal and to a lesser extent, rock, have one key element that they were born from and allows them to exist. This element is their essence. That element is rebellion and dissatisfaction. As long as those things exist then the music as an art form will evolve to meet the times.

What kills me about hearing someone say something like this is that you know this person has to feel like it is dying, but what they dont realize is that its actually the other way around. Its the person complaining who is disenfranchised with how the form has evolved and is clinging to their out of date cliched take on it that has since waned in popularity. Thus they feel like its dead, because what is new isnt what they liked and what they liked is no longer cool.

The golden rule of metal has always been "If its too loud, your too fucking old" Sorry that no one likes Poison or Warrant anymore there buddy, times change, technology changes and even the nature of rebellion, anger and aggression change. If your unwilling to change along with it then dont complain about "Them damned kids with their rock music.. why back in my daaaay...." Cause no one cares what ya think about your fossil rock.

OT: And seriously... how out of touch is it to complain about computers and synth in metal. I mean sure, this might have been valid in say 1999 in the days of NIN, Static X, Ministry, Fear factory, etc ad nauseum when industrial was the driving force behind metal and rock, but the music has long since evolved away from it, and things are now much more balanced with electronic elements acting as just another instrument in rock and metal as opposed to being a specific style of it.

If a style of music is 'dying' it's because the majority of people don't think it sounds very good, and I'm inclined to agree with them when it comes to metal as a whole. As a rule of thumb: If it's metal, I won't like it.

I still find tons of great metal bands. Last year, this band released their first album:

And in a couple of weeks, this awesome Swedish band will release their second album:

Both those bands are two of my favorites, and I think they deserve more fame than they get. Good metal is out there, just some of it is a little bit less known. ;)

Also, this song would be fitting to this thread:

Not just saying this as I'm a fan of the band, but I fail too see how that is evidence of a dying genre..Just because you don't like it doesn't prove anything -.-

Plus, I fail to see how any genre is dying.

Thats why i listen to Classical. I usually don't listen to a song By Beethoven and think "My GOD! This totally sounds like a song from Mozart" lol.
Perhaps you should expand your library then? Beethoven did borrow from Mozart, homage is a common theme in all arts as a form of conscious flattery.

Ignorant snobbery is way too common to try such subtle sarcasm. >_>;

Just wondering. How would what i said be Ignorant Snobbery?
It's ignorant in that borrowing isn't uncommon in Classical music and snobbish in assuming classical is of higher value than other genres because of that non-fact.
