Mmm.. Deadrising on the Wii.. not sure if I like what I saw. The textures looked really bland, let alone the animations seemed less smooth. One of the things about Deadrising was the smooth gameplay and whatnot outside of just using weapons.

You do realize that video of people ranting over a slide show existed long before Yahtzee came to youtube, furthermore ZP is more of a puppet theater than a slide show so how are they similar?

I'm so taffing sick of fanboys shouting "WTF Yahtzee copycat!" at every slide show accompanied rant. I'm a seasoned fan of Yahtzee myself but this kind of fanboyism is unsightly and annoying.
Granted, Zero Punctuation isn't the first show ever to feature amusing visual gags voiced-over with comedic commentary but you have to admit that it is one of(though I can't think of any other examples) the best examples of this format. It has a stylish sort of charm other offerings just seem to lack. I'm not saying no one should be allowed to make slide shows anymore, I'm just saying it's hard to enjoy them after being spoiled by possibly the best of these types of shows to date. To me, having two slide-style humor review shows in the same place draws an inevitable comparison.

My only beef (possible complaint) with the Wii port of Dead Rising is if they dumb down the difficulty. "I beat Dead Rising" should always be challenged with "Which one?" -that is, if it's much easier on the Wii.
Oh, gods yes! When I found out about this port it allowed me to put off my inevitable next-gen purchase for another 6+ months as well as completely removed my indecisiveness over picking the PS3 rather than the 360(Now that BioShock's on the PS3, too). I would hate for the game to be dumbed down, simplified, or in any way made 'more accessable' to the alleged Wii audience.

However, I seem to recall a lot of complaints in the first game about text too small to be legible on non-HD TVs... Does anyone know if this will be amended?

i love moviebob movie reviews. there one of the reasons why i came to this site (and yahtzee). i saw twilight and it was decent. i'm a straight man and i thought i was ok. but the best part about the movie was that i saw it for free on youtube. the worse part is that since i saw it for free, i missed the best part, where edward and the evil vampire fight in the dance studio.

Great video there. I really liked the scenes between Jeff and Russ. More of that and these videos can only get better.

I'm glad that MovieBob's back and I'm also glad that I decided to decline the offer given to me to see twilight.

The line about how Edward in Twilight does his man makeup without a mirror was funny. BIG fan of the scathing movie review, Bob. Belligerent wittiness at its best.

"with my exclusive interview with, what the f**k is that"

made me piss myself laughing, the games seems like a very cheap port that the wii is proably going to do a lot more in the future. anyone else think that movie bob dude at the end is a bit of a wanker, no male should be reviewing that movie, its called a "chick flick" for a reason, us males don't enjoy it.

Hmmmm I enjoyed moviebob; It was Zero Punctuation but actually GOOD, FUNNY and ACCURATE. It was better than the other videos you've put at the end of the escapist show.

In regards to the actual show, great, you've been doing good since the Street Fighter episode, Well done.

Who wouldn't?

I'd be more inclined to like Moviebob if he ever made contact with us as a user, and didn't try to remain aloof. Nobody can really do that without coming off as a prick.
Sounds like someone else we all wait around for on Wednesdays... except I don't think there's anyone with the illusion that Yahtzee ISN'T a prick.
Yahtzee isn't a prick; he enjoys games but his videos are most liked when they're negative towards the game. That all being said, I hate Yahtzee; his comedy is stale and his critisisms are all wrong.

As I have said moviebob was absolutely great.

Y'know, you're entirely correct about that. Hi there :)

Just remember, when people innevitably get sick of me hanging around, you had to ask ;)
Indigo Dingo...one word:

OWNED.

Bob, you think if enough people voice their desire for it, that overthinker episodes could appear on here? I'm sure others have asked for it and we both know that would be a thing of beauty ;-D

P.S. Good review and keep it up! It's a surprise to see you here!

it just isn't possible for me to shake the suspicion that the presentation is trying to ape Yahtzee's image-dependent delivery but without any of the stylish flair. (I realize I'm totally asking for it if it happens that this fellow's been doing his thing since before Benjamin Yahtzee Godzilla Croshaw, but I'm willing to take that gamble.)

Agreed, however I would have expected more of them this time around.

More of the same stupidity so, I'm C+Ving my opinion from episode four

Stop trying to be cute, you suck at it.
There's more bad than good here. What's supposed to be endearing and campy is just frustrating filler; watching people cosplay and goof around in front of a camera is something I can get from you tube if I were ever really in the mood for that sort of thing. The more people from the escapist try to be cute, the more it hurts my head, worse still the less traffic I'm likely to give it.

Ditch the Yahtzee previews.
I like his show a great deal so there's nothing you need to sell me on. Consequently, showing me an out of context clip of a show I'm going to watch in less than a week is unnecessary and stupid.

Give MovieBob his own show
It's the only thing I found interesting and entertaining in what was otherwise a waste of time.

- Dead Rising was a fun game, although rather flawed in many aspects. Now they are trying to cash in on the Wii crowd? Pathetic. I bet if you put Hanna Montana in place of all the zombies it'd sell ten times better.
Kill Hannah Montana with swords, guns, and lawnmowers? I'd buy it. As to Dead Rising on the Wii, now that it looks like they axed the story, reduced zombie count and detail, and basically made it infinity mode only, they've killed most of the tension. The story may have been retarded, but saving survivors and going between storypoints gave the game a je nais se quoi (spelling?) it looks like the Wii version will lack.

dead rising - another let down for me...i was really hoping for more on the story.(because the story was awesome).some of you might not think that but meh.it just seems capcom are being lazy.yes the aiming was bad and the save points sucked and also at times your sat thinking ''wtf!!'' .it was different people! and your in a freaking shopping mall! you can use hand bags! XD but sadly now its on the wii...pure lazy.another reason why I'm not getting excited about any games this year.

as for twilight ...

you know likey then? lol twilight became popular because a lot of young people related to it .so i guess its a teen movie also books to movies tend to be ''blah''(unless its the green mile..)

Does it look a bit easier on the wii then it was on the X-box? cause man I remember wanting to rip my hair out with the frustration that game could induce... and yet i kept going back to it, no matter how hard it beat me.

Oh.. and the review... *tears of joy*

allegedly male lead.. hehe.

Mormon.. Vampire.. Abstinence.. Porn..

I suggest you buy that infection a bouquet and chocolate's and say thank you sir.. for not being twilight.

Oh man.. love to this ep.

Incidentally, I just aw Twilight a few minutes before watching this episode. I'd hate to see who my sister reacts to MovieBob's words, though.

Also, yeah, zombies.

i completely agree with Moviebob on this one, besides, it's not like we didnt already HAVE a vampire lovestory where the male could kill the female? Buffy The Vampire Slayer did the exact same thing!

Twilight sucks massive amounts of balls I agree. But I always thought the initial premise was intriguing of a vampire/mortal love story. But maybe there's better versions of this idea I just don't know about.
