1. DRM, and that includes Steam.
2. Trolls, haters, and fanboys.
3. Pirates, especially the ones who use the excuse $60 is too much for a game but they need to play it anyways. Newsflash games aren't really a need. And considering I remember NES games being anywhere from $40 to $60 when my parents bought them in the '80s, $60 for a console game today is nothing new and not a sign of evil greed from publishers.
4. DLC, now that is a sign of greed from publishers.

It'd be a whole lot better without the notion that there must be a firm divide between causal and hardcore participants. If the community could co-mingle it would far more interesting.

Multiplayer based FPS games, once those are gone, games can finally progress past "OMG mine is bigger than yours!" that we're stuck in now.

DLC that unlocks content on the disk

Why pay for something that is already there

(Kane and Lynch 2 was the worst, one bit of DLC unlocked grayed out options)

Oh boy, lots of things.

CoD after 2 for starters
Kids under 13 on XBL
Fanboys (except for Bioware fanboys, you guys are alright)
Console Wars (especially the "LAWLZ my 4000$ PC is better than your 300$ X360! You Suck because you're on a budget!" people)
Camping
Call of Duty firearms "specialists"
"Sex Sells"
Motion Controls

There's more, but I can't remember them right now...

Inordinate amount of fetch quests and cookie-cutter "kill these people" quests.

It's great you've designed an engine to the game. Now, actually design the game - and craft out an unforgettable experience for us, rather than a dull, monotonous, assembly-line of gameplay.

Console gamers who constantly spew uninformed tripe about PCs costing $2000.

It <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.272899-Want-to-build-a-PC-on-a-budget-Meet-the-500-gaming-rig#10531988>doesn't. Not necessarily, at least.
