Paddy glared with contempt at Stephan, "You are all kinds of stupid. You are lost and alone down here, and you reject any offer of help. Not to mention you insult us, Zala may not look like an adult, but at least she has the mind of one and as for calling us peons, never call me one again, I've made more sacrifices for the freedom of myself and others then you can appreciate. I suggest we leave this particular headache to his own faith". He addressed the last part to the others, before barging past Stephen to continue exploring.

"You won't hear me protesting" Gerard said in a silent voice- to the others.

"Come along if you wish, but try to behave civilized." He said to Stephan as he started walking after Paddy.

Charles grinned, taking a deep breath in the cool cave tunnels....

The hate.

The paranoia.

The fear.

It was all so...invigorating.

Chuckling to himself, he followed after Gerard and Paddy, walking deeper into the tunnels.

So, I seem to have been disregarded in the story, but I'm alone, so it's kay.
Shaun stared at the statue, shining his torch into it's eyes. "Show yer self ya bugger...Are you alive or sumthin?" As Shaun was looking, something happened. He was sure. It blinked. "Gaah!" Shaun jumped back, hitting his head on something drawing blood. He started to feel dizzy. After a long time he dicided to regroup, so he set off in a direction.

Charles suddenly looked down one of the side passages, his eyes piercing through the darkness.

He could have sworn he heard a "Gaah!" down there...

And with that he walked down it, looking to investigate the noise

I'm coming ScaredCougar!

Although her question wasn't answered, the rest of the group seemed to sparodically be setting off in some semblance of a forward march, and eager to leave Stephan behind, Anna followed the others.

Shaun stumbled along the corridor, not really knowing where he was going. He had made rather a large cut in his head and was losing a lot of blood. "Why do I still hae pain even though i'm friggin invincible? It's stupid..." Shaun hit his arm as he was walking, it felt like the corridpr was closing on him and claustraphobia set in. He quicked his pace, breathing harder. Now, he knew he wasn't imagining it. He actually could see the corridor closing. He chanced a looked up, to see Charles walking along the corridor in front of him. Just before it completely shut in front of him. "FUCK! Random guy who's name I don't know yet, help! Can you hear me on t' other side?" He banged against it, cursing under his breath.

Holy shit... deja vu... o_O
Fredrick stared at the mummy for a long moment, with a critical eye. It had been a good long while since he'd seen an animated corpse, the least time being almost three centuries ago on a remote Caribbean island. Voodoo zombies were not the same as mummies though, and the correct circumstances didn't appear to be present. There was something else going on here, probably having to do with the celestial figures engraved on the seal.

He breathed a long, drawn out breath, then slowly let it out, and closed his eyes for a moment, to clear his head. The feeling of faintness being near the box caused was also slightly odd. He had been inside many tombs that would cause the intruder to become sick, but in those cases the symptoms would usually also include wooziness, shortness of breath, headaches, or pain. This tomb seemed like it simply wanted to put him to sleep.

Fredrick sighed and stood up, shaking his head. "I do not believe we should tamper with this. Clearly we aren't supposed to, and I get the feeling something "not in our best interest" will happen should we try." He turned and gazed around the room. "We should at least inspect the rest of this place before coming to a decision."

Charles raised an eyebrow at the strange scene that had happened before him. He looked at the stone wall that had closed in between him and the bleeding man.

Examining it further he found a loose rock that seemed to work as a button of some kind. Pushing it, he heard something shudder on the other side. The door must work only if the buttons on both sides were pressed.

"Look for a loose rock to push in!" he called "It may be the only way to open the passage!"

"Okay!" Shaun ran his hand across the wall, searching for something. His eyes were starting to flash with the pain. After a long time searching, he found it. "Got it! On the count of three! One, two, THREE!" Shaun pushed his button, and the wall opened. Charles must have pressed his. At that moment, the pain became too much, and he fell over onto Charles, then tried to get up, and hit the wall with his head. He now realised something. He hadn't cracked his head, there was something sticking out of the back of it. He felt a hand up, and realised it was a dagger. Shaun died.

Charles looked down at the apparently dead man at his feet and pulled the dagger sticking out of his head.

As expected, the wound closed on itself and soon Shaun started breathing again.

"Interesting..." Charles muttered, looking over the dagger in his hand

"Argh...what the bloody hell was that?" Shaun looked up at Charles, him obviously not getting his joke. "Bloody, geddit?...Ah, fuck you, you're as bad as that friggin' Nazi." Shaun got back up and rubbed his head, one eye closed in confusion. He always lost a very short amount of memory when he died. Maybe it was the alcohol. But that didn't stop him getting out his hip flask. Mid-swig, he remembered the dagger and spat out his drink. "Whoah! Oh yeah! That! Who D'think did it?" He exclaimed, turning to Charles.

Charles had a bemused expression on his face. This man was certainly...different. Looking at the dagger in his hand, he twirled it around expertly. It was your basic dagger, anyone could have bought it at a store for cheap.

Turning back to the man, Shaun, he asked

"Well, when did you get the injury? Who was with you at the time? And if no one..."

Charles looked down the tunnel, his eyes narrowed

"Who else is down here with us?"

"No-one, your group, me..oh yeah, and a freaking blinking statue of an angel."
Charles stared at him on the last statement, obvioulsy angry that he left this vital piece of info out. "What? Are you sure?" He drew closer to Shaun's face, his eyes narrowing.

"Yeah, it blinked, I jumped back, boom, stabbed." There was a long pause, and Shaun burped. "Oh yeah, did I mention the moving shadow?"

Aw, but I left you with the second most interesting thing in the catacomb's so far! You weren't written out!

To the corpse group

Upon investigating the domed vault you are currently in, you notice a series of elaborate carvings, depicting what look like strange deities blessing people. The deities have a sinister appearance, but are otherwise winged creatures best described as angels. The people they bless seem to stand above the rest of the battle scenes and world depicted below them, as though lifted above the action. There is also a battalion of what looks like hooded figures with skull faces chasing or torturing those blessed. They wear they are accompanied by the crest depicted on the top of the glass coffin. It is difficult to tell what represents good and evil in the picture, and the whole relief is a little chaotic and frightening. Those doing the blessing seem strangely unnerving, and the ones being blessed could easily be wicked themselves. The skull monks are more ambivalent, a seeming depiction of death.

Charles and Shaun

Upon returning to the statue, you see that Sacred jumped into a similar carving on the other side when he started from the angel statue. It is a depiction of a hooded skeleton with a strange crest next to it, which is difficult to make out. It was holding the dagger.

The dagger, however, looks to be a VERY new addition that was lodged in the hands of the statue. It seems that the original was taken out and replaced.

The dagger was a switch, and the angel statue moves backwards to reveal a passageway into yet another corridor.

Zala's group
Assuming you do not follow Charles, you are lead into a large Antechamber of what appears to be another flooded church. It is difficult to make out in your limited light, but it is richly decorated.

Dear god, it's becoming hard to keep up.

Dexter stared at the carvings on the wall. "Damn, that looks like it hurts," he said, looking at the hooded tormentors.

Since ScaredCougar isn't going to be on until Thursday, just assume he's been following me

Looking down the new passage, Charles smiled. Guess him and his new partner could only keep moving forward

"Lets go then" he said, walking down the darkened passage

Am I the only one thinking about looting the place?
Paddy moved around the room examing the decorations for a clue to their current circumstances. He made sure to keep an eye out as he did so, he didn't want any more surprises like Stephen catching him unaware.
