Whenever I heard someone say his name all I could think of was Rick Moranis' character from Little Shop of Horrors, it is impossible to take a guy named Seymour seriously. Oh, and he's part Guado, so that's his last name. Of all the horrible names in Final Fantasy games his stands out the most to me.

I see a good collection of "lamest names in video games" whenever i join an mmo server.
These kids try sooo hard to sound badass and cool i just can laugh. I just give my characters...names. Well but i am a freakish roleplayer.
But sometimes developers behave just like the average 12 year old shad0wa55a5in in wow with trying to beat themselves in "creative names" why i ask? why cant a villain not just been named like a regular person? or are villains always born with an evil birthmark so the parents can give them spooky names?
but the worst usually is when names out of literature or mythology are completely misused just because they seem cool, yes i am looking at you japan. be ashamed of yourself.

Would you really want to fight a guy name Carl Davidson? "You must now pay for your insolence and face the wrath of...CARL!

if it fits the character and the setting? of course.For a human it would be ok. While in Warhammer online it should be rather Karl Davidsson. The games lore give you good impressions what appropriate names would look like, WOW uses telling surnames, Warhammer uses olf fashioned german ones, DnD likes complicated ones.
