Anyone who has played Alpha protocol will remember Brayko. Jesus christ that knife attack.

Silver lining to that fight

^ this. Having to actually beat him drove me mental, but the setting and soundtrack were so hilarious that it somehow got me through.

The Harbinger from Mass Effect 2, like a boss if you put it on Insanity difficulty (which I finally completed the entire game on, all 12 members on my crew as well as myself died at the end but it was worth it.)

The Tank from Left 4 Dead (2), like a boss if on versus and they trap you in a corner.

The Houdini Splicers from Bioshock, like a boss since they just vanish when I get a clear shot from my crossbow and miss because they teleported.

Sorry, just listing all the normal enemies that are so bloody annoying. =/

I hear the boss fights from Deus Ex: HR are shit, I've never played the game but looking at some videos of them they seem pretty shit to me.

Crawmerax from Borderlands was supposedly impossible to beat. Yeah, without mods. -_-

Alduin, the final boss from Skyrim was pretty crap, all he was doing was attacking the other A.I. who were on my team while I was spamming arrows and shouting when ever he started to take flight. I've died more times against Ancient Dragons than with Alduin, and you only encounter them randomly.

My most bullcrap boss would have to be the final boss of Dirge of Cerberus. I beat him in less than 2 minutes by walking in a wide circle and shooting. That is all. After the awesome challenge that was Weiss, the final boss was like a slap in the face. Way to go out on a low note, guys.
i'm afraid i can't agree with you, i never could figure out how to even damage that bloody monstrosity. in top of that, i always ran out of ammo. with no way to replenish it, i declared that the producers made an impossible final boss to troll me, and i left it unfinished.
Really? Are you sure we're talking about the same boss? During the final stage, you got an overpowered gun with about 900 ammo, so you shouldn't have run out of bullets...
Here's a vid of the final boss, to be sure.
And here's Weiss, the semi-final boss. I guess he's fairly easy if you had ammo, but the boss right before had pretty much emptied my reserves, so I had to go melee on him for the most part. Made it that much more difficult, but also that much more satisfying when I defeated him.

You know I think I just fought that boss a few hours ago today.
Granted, I was able to use enough tricks of magic to overcome it (after several deaths).
Then I went into the chamber it guarded the key to, died even more times there at the hands of some kind of Draugr-Mage who had partial cloaking and the ability to continually summon ice creatures.
I gave up hope right around then and turned back.

Borgia in Assassins Creed 2. He's not hard but he takes a ridiculous amount of damage for someone who is just a fat, middle-aged guy. You fight him three times in the game and they're all really boring, stupid fights. Plus his fights are surrounded by the dumbest parts of the plot.

And you don't even get to fucking kill him!

I'm amazed nobody has mentioned Ares from Final Fantasy Tactics...so terrifyingly overpowered, unless you made a job of learning how to twink your entire party and break the leveling system.

So much love for the game, but so much hate for him. Still...the only game I've yet to log 100+ hours on.

Difficult bosses? Who here played Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep? Terra's final boss comes to mind. Teleport spamming, insane speed, power, and magic. Can heal. Can't get a full combo off against him. Then there's the Unknown Figure bonus boss. In another game, the Grand Jewel in The Legend of Dragoon,as well as the Divine Dragon.

Disapointing bosses? The Thugs 4 Less Captain was always a pushover,as was the Super Protopet. Then there's Tiny in the first three Crash Bandicoot games (the only ones I've played),and when I played Jak II,Errol wrecked himself during the race. Some boss. Finally, there's Frugel round one in The Legend of Dragoon

shit about seph in kingdom hearts.
He was so much 'harder' in the first one.

However that didn't stop my friend from bashing him in with the original Keyblade. All because he wanted to try.

Hardest Boss- Evolution : World of Sacred Device- Prince fucking Eugene. Made me rage quit soooo many times. I wonder if I'll ever go back and try and beat that game.

Boss without a sense of satisfaction-Bully: Scholarship Edition- Fucking Gary. Never have I wanted to kill someone more in the end and they get off practically scot free imo. Was so pissed.

Hopefully, when he does buy the farm, you'll like that sequence a lot better. It gave me some personal satisfaction in his death.

The first one that comes to mind is Dracula on the n64 game, Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (the one with cornell the werewolf or w/e he was). Throughout the game you purchase items from a merchant who clearly is a devil or demon of some type and in order to do this you have to sign a contract written in a language you can't read. If you spend too much you have to fight and kill the merchant at the end of the game, right before the showdown with dracula which isn't too bad except once he's dead there's no turning back and no way to get healing/restorative items so yer screwed! I never could beat the second part where Dracula transforms and gets huge.

The most bullcrap boss in most recent memory has to be mothereffing Ghirahim in Skyward Sword.

He is literally the first boss in the game, and one of the hardest. Especially since defeating him relies on your sword skills alone, which I hadn't really developed yet, just having picked up the game.

In the first fight with him, he will literally grab your sword and throw it away from you, giving you some bullshit about "not telegraphing your attacks". I was sitting there having my ass handed to me on a silver platter like well wtf does that mean? And the best part? You get to fight him two more times!

I like how Nintendo's answer to criticism about Zelda being too easy is to make it unforgivably hard.

The last fight with Vergil in DMC3 is a pain, especially on the higher difficulty levels. That series' bosses throw some cheap shots but this guy is made of cheap shots.

Can't forget Seymour Flux and Mortiorchis, either. Seymour uses Lance of Atrophy on party member, afflicting them with the zombie status. Mortiorchis then casts full-life on them: They die. Yunalesca was pretty tough, too, if I remember correctly.

Grave lord Nito from Dark souls.
I made him my ***** with the greatsword Sif's soul makes. With a strong divine weapon (I like polearms, the halberd is a great choice though it is beasty if you go for a fire version instead and make a stronger divine weapon later) you can kill the skeleton assistants easily. Once they are dead, Nito is a push-over.

The Demon Firesage is the one I hate the most (though I never fought Ceaseless Discharge without the pit trick). His attacks have a shockwave that is ridiculously hard to dodge and does a lot of damage even through a 95% dr shield.

The very first boss, two minutes into DMC3.

Holy. Hell. Only not really; just hell.

Still can't beat that stupid reaper/witch/demon thing.
