Play Sacred. They thought if some Diablo is good 10x more is better. That game was a slog.

play titan quest. it is the RPG genre complete

This one PC game called "The Path"--I got it from Steam. Supposedly a scary take on the story of Little Red Riding Hood, it has you sloooooooooooooooowly walking six different versions of Red around, one by one, in a forest full of inscrutable symbolism and PSone-level graphics and glitchy hit detection, and then all six girls apparently get raped or murdered or both. It manages to be unbelievably dull *and* highly off-putting at the same time, and it's the first game I've ever really, truly regretted buying.

Either GTA 4 (They story made me ignore the repetative gameplay, and the bank robbery was so much fun my angry washes away) or Fable 2. Fable 2 was a good game but the liner style/ repetative game made it feel lame in a way.

Ha, that game actually got a decent review on Gamespy. Guess they're really lenient on games that are meant to have 'meaning' and done by indie devolopers. But seriously, what were you thinking? xP

This.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I could never get into the Diablo games. They just seemed like a lot of mindless clicking interrupted by occasional inventory management.
It's essentially virtual shopping.

As for the most tedium inducing games I'd say No More Heroes, Madworld, Killer 7, Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess and motherfucking folklore (the fact it makes you do everything twice earns it the top spot)

Ironically all of those games have pretty good storylines.

Well, I'd just finished "Aquaria" (which is awesome, by the way), I was looking around for other indie-ish games, and I saw a couple of positive reviews for this one and thought I'd give it a try. It wasn't till after I'd played for an hour or two that I realized that quite a few reviewers had used some version of the phrase "you'll either love it or hate it," which I suppose should've been a clue of some sort...

Final fantasy 7. I am considering sueing square enix for that 4 and a half hours of my time back.
Really. Your first idea is to sue because you spent time doing something you didn't want to do...Why not sue your employer while you're at it. Heck, sue America for employing people who probably spent money in your employer's place of business which your employer then paid you with. Sue the World for the same argument. People like you are the ones who sue McDonalds for spilling hot coffee on themselves. IT'S HOT COFFEE! Unless you ordered the frozen "hot" coffee, you shouldn't be surprised when it burns you when you spill it on yourself. I'm so tired of all the stupidity in the justice system nowadays. The worst part: The lady won. She beat McDonalds in a case about hot coffee. When you see that you just have to *facepalm*

Really tho...Blaming Square because you disliked one of their games yet continued to play it...

Why do people keep saying Halo is repetitive (other than the horrible Library level)? There are close range fights, long range fights, claustrophobic corridors, fights with silly aliens, fights with horrific zombies, fights with robots, solo fights, fights with allies, fights with and against three different vehicles, and a racing part and the end just to keep the player off balance. There's even a stupid escort mission.

I reckon either the Club or Assassin's Creed. Assassin's Creed was at least good looking. I don't think WoW is repetitive once you go raiding or into PvP. Levelling is repetitive to be fair.

I agree with the people who mentioned Assassin's Creed. The story missions were cool (besides the last one), but the grinding in between also grinded my gears a bit. Same old boring cut scenes every bloody time.
