I loved Threads of Fate and Legend of Dragoon. Two games that I think really have never gotten the attention they deserved.
Threads of Fate is MY GAME. I still couldn't beat that damned Temple that you have to do with the guy

Ogre Saga, the whole series. No one...and I mean, no other gamer seems to remember it, and it was the reason we have greatness like FF Tactics. The first title in the series is quite possibly the rarest U.S. SNES title released, and it's sequels on the Saturn and Playstation are nearly as hard to find. The two that got bigger releases, Ogre Battle 64, was looked over, because no one wanted to jump into a story halfway through, and the GBA title, Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis wasn't bought because it was a bad re-use of the system that became FF Tactics with very little borrowed from it. Amazing games forgotten, except for their ties to FF when someone has read about.
A thousand times this. The only objection I have to this is that Knight of Lodis was awesome and is still one of the best GBA games ever. Seriously this is one of the greatest SRPG's ever made.

(SNES) Super Mario Brothers RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

(PS2) Evergrace.

(N64) Megaman 64. I don't care what anyone says, that is a good game.

Own:
Beyond Good & Evil - only played through the first level (the mine I think) and got further in the hub world
Vampires The Masquerade Bloodlines - fan-fucking-tastic, almost done with it
Psychonauts - picked it up for $6, but just haven't installed it yet
Eternal Darkness - played it through like 5 times
Homeworld + HW2 - unbelievably EPIC
Crackdown - 1200/1250, just missing that last single damned Agility Orb
The Longest Journey - about halfway through, have Dreamfall waiting on the shelf for me to finish the 1st one
Grim Fandango - didn't sell, but one of my favorites. Hell, I love all the LucasArts adventures.

Here's a game you people haven't mentioned yet. Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts. Reviewers gave it a pasting, it had a horrible demo, and it routinely gets dumped on by Kotaku commenters, but I've been having tons of fun with it for the last few weeks. It's like a LEGO game where you actually get to build things.

Actually, let me list a few more games nobody has mentioned:
No One Lives Forever
Full Throttle
The Ship
Blade Runner - playing through it right now, it's like Deus Ex in LA

It's a vague memory. Silent Bomber? or w00t? Anyways, I have never heard anyone talk about it. I for one found it interesting, and phuun to play.

Might be a bestseller without me noticing it... Me living in the Faroes Islands, not many people, different trends...

Homeworld needs more done with it, Homeworld 2's story felt sub-par. Excuse me... Last of the Bentusi?! What!
Everytime someone makes a thread like this, I feel it's my duty.... Neigh.... My responsibility to demand attention for Advent Rising. Yeah, it had some bugs, but the game was good, and the bugs didn't give me nearly enough issues to be upset.

Banjo Kazooie. 'Cuz if it had been properly appreciated it wouldn't have had more than two shitty sequels.

Now that i think about it, Liero was an awesome game, even if it did have crappy graphics and was prolly made by like 3 uni students.

Its basically like a real time version of worms 2, but with like a hundred different weapons to choose from. And the worms had grappling hooks, nuff said.

I might replay it actually.
Eh. Playing it for the first time now and I honestly don't see whats so great.
Give the whole game a go. It's got a great story once you're into it and it's a nice change to be shooting things with a camera, instead of a gun.
