Lithuania and the other baltic states have another alliance separate from Russia, because they still have hard feelings towards their former Soviet oppressors

Hey just don't put Lithuanians on same treaty with Russia ^^
Lithuania is part of the Baltic Defense Treaty, that may or may not be renamed.

The Dutch were one of the founders of both EU, NATO and the Benelux union. So it makes sense that they would align themselves accordingly.

Yo Balders, why are Germany and Greece part of the E.C.P.? Also, wouldn't it make sense to change said factions to the E.U. and maybe create another European faction that encompasses the Balkans?

Just a suggestion.

The only problem with adding Germany to the EU is that alliances usually tend to center around one of the more powerful nations, in this case Germany.
Without Germany, the ECP would fall apart without the industrial and military capacity it offers.
And I am aware that it might seem like an odd choice to not include them in the EU, considering that Western Germany was one of the founders, but one has to consider why an alliance would be formed in the first place.

And about Greece, why wouldn't they join the ECP if they felt like they were closer to their allies, and also, thinking economically, in case of an eventual war they are not solely relying on an exposed merchant marine?

And your suggestions are not bad, it's just that dividing Europe into three or more stable alliances, or factions, is not that easy.

Ok, but what about Turkey, Armenia and Georgia?

Turkey could have been neutral I suppose...
However, when relations between the nations are at it's worst, would you like to stand alone between two block alliances?

And about Georgia and Armenia, Georgia naturally feels threatened by Russia (I hope that I don't need to explain why), and Armenia... Well, upon further research it seems I was mistaken quite a bit, a misunderstanding on my part I'm afraid. I was sure that it had somewhat good relations with Turkey, and not with Russia, but it's actually the opposite.
They have bad (if not horrible) relations with Turkey, and good ties with Russia.

I'm going to PM Squeak with a new faction map to correct this.

Yes, but I'd like to think diplomatic relations have changed a bit since WWI.
