The video game that got you into gaming

The game that opened my eyes to the world of gaming and was my gateway was probably Counter strike, I don't have that much to say about it really. It did open my eyes to gaming on such a huge scale.

I would go with duckhunt, digdug, pokemon yellow(that was my life from nine to eleven!) and banjo tooie.

Smash Bros. and LoZ Ocarina were pretty much my introduction.
Then Pokemon Red was my start point of owning games.

Pong. I played it on the home console when I was little (that was all it played btw, *just* Pong), and it essentially doomed me to nerd-dom.

While I'm what you would normally call a casual gamer, the games that made me interested in them, and that validated their entertainment value for me were Heroes of Might and Magic III, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Starcraft. I'd played games before these, but these were the ones that captivated me.

Hmm...started gaming 20 years ago. As far as my memory serves me I think it was Super Mario Bros. (NES). Started PC gaming on Windows 3.1x with Nibbles, Gorillas and Hugo. They were awesome and you can't tell me otherwise!

I don't know what game got me into gaming, what got me into it was my parents putting a controller in my hands before I could walk or talk. If anything I could say all the 2 player games since at that age I couldn't beat any on my own and loved playing with my big brother. Though the first single player game I remember loving was Duke Nukem. My parents were not very happy with my choice.

It is! You'd plug it into your TV, and then play the games, which came on audio cassetes. It was AWESOME!!!

... back in 1985...

And you had to wait a week to load the damn thing... :|

My first game was Pokemon Yellow Version, which started my gaming career. I first played Mortal Kombat on Playstation which inspired me to get a Playstation for myself. Got one for Xmas and recieved my first Playstation game that skyrocketed me into gaming as a hobby:

Final fantasy 7 got me into gameing . I rember my older brother playing it when i was 6 i used to just watch him play it and i was fasinated since then iv played it throught about 6 times great game...shame about the majority of the fan base but never the less great game.
