I really don't understand why everyone hates Ubisoft. They've made some of the best games I've ever played, in my opinion at least. But I haven't played a lot of their games, so that might be the reason... But the most evil? I would say Blizzard. Because the amount of hours people have lost to WoW, could have been used to cure cancer, or something productive like that.

Always-online DRM. There's your reason.

I was toying with it in my head, and I think I have to agree, as some developers are also the publishers and also own other smaller developers, I wasn't quite sure who to be pissed at for what...

But over the years, blizzard takes the cake I think.

sad thing is, they get away with it for the most part, they can leech off of the monster that is WoW.

Maxis as long since stopped making the sims, its one of those EA production companies. Maxis still gets my vote for the disappointment they have and will bring (sim city societies, spore, etc) and that they stop giving crazy claims for me to get hyped about.

EA and Capcom are really high up there in terms of evil but Blizzard seems to be well on it's way. Valve fits in just for its massive torturing of it's fans with keeping Half Life 3 away from us for no reason.

I am torn between Valve and Capcom for completely different reasons.But i will go with Capcom simply because it hurts to see the franchises i love go down the drain.

And just how many of those games are on a Nintendo system? And no, Tom Clancy's HAWX doesn't count, because, as always, the Wii version is an entirely different and shittier game.

This is about being evil, Ubisoft isn't that big of a developer, but Activision and EA are just evil, COD is great, but Activision only makes it worse with their politics.

Ubisoft Montreal, one of the largest studios in the world at over 2100 employees is not that big? I kinda get what you mean, but as far as I know, Ubisoft is still right there near the top of the list of biggest developers.

My vote for most evil dev goes to CD Projekt.

Since the OP specifies developers, im going with Blizzard. The innate, obvious addictiveness surrounding WoW didnt exactly earn them a high opinion with me.

Starcraft 2 earned them some points back for relieveing some of the pain inflicted by Command and Conquer 4, despite the staggered nature of its release...

But then come Diablo 3 its comparable to taking a chocolate cake then hurling it into an open sewer. Couldnt play it at all on launch, cant play it when im on the go, and pay2win, even if its player-to-player.
