Valve and Blizzard. Blizzard have done nothing wrong as far as I'm aware (although they did join with Activi$ion)

Valve is probably the least hated. I mean, hell, ther was an article of them on here which said that a few hundred people were affected by something so Valve gave them 2 copies of L4D2 for free.

Bioware, Blizzard, not Valve because of the whole L4D 2 nonsense and them STILL NOT EVEN ANNOUNCING HL2: Ep. 3. Then there's Retro, the guys who made the Metroid Prime series and who are making Donkey Kong Country Returns. And I live fifteen minutes away from them. Maybe I'll bring them some cookies or something...

I'd go with Valve and the Blizzard from before the Starcraft 2 release.
I don't know about Blizzard, lot of people I know don't like them anymore.

OT: I would say probably BioWare or Relic, mostly because I don't hear to many complaints about them.
Did you actually read my entire post or did you just see Valve and Blizzard?

Bioware, Valve, or maybe Relic.

Also, your choice would be Activision? I thought they were universally regarded as the most hated game developer.
I thought that 5 years ago, I wouldn't say so now.
I think it's kind of reverse. You wouldn't say that 5 years ago, but you definetly would now.

Naughty Dog perhaps, there's plenty of love for Crash Bandicoot, Jack & Daxter was pretty successful and Uncharted is an extremely good action/adventure platformer.

However, they do tend for neglect a franchise once their new titles become popular i.e. got shot of Crash to develop J & D and cancelled a new J & D to concentrate on Uncharted 2

Rockstar would be would be a good shout as well
They never cancelled a new Jak and Daxter. They simply went and made a game that wasn't jak and Daxter for the PS3. Same with Crash but for the PS2. They like to move on to other games once they've reached four games in a franchise.

I'd say the least hated developer would be one nobody's heard of and therefore not had the opportunity to hate. They wouldn't be loved, but they'd be the least hated.

Who are they you ask? No idea, I've never heard of them.

Edit: To clarify, The general consensus is say, Valve, but even though they're super awesome and mega-popular, there are still more people who hate them than the previously mentioned unknown Dev.

Valve. I mean, who could hate this?

He's like Santa, but only shows up randomly every 2-3 years.

I'd have to go with Relic, just because even though I love Valve, Relic still makes excellent expansion packs to games, and continues to try and evolve RTS.

I'd have to say bioware is the least hated. They release good games in their own niche, all the crap that comes with the games are EA games oriented.

Valve is my favourite, but steam gets on a lot of people's nerves, that'd generate more hate than what bioware would get.

Bioware rarely (never I think?) releases bad games, same as valve, but without steam they avoid that part of hate.

Mind you I'd say steam is well loved by a lot of people, so they also avoid some love. :p

Bioware, I would say Valve also but I feel Bioware wins because I hate how Valve delays and nerfs through too many updates etc.

valve and bioware. valve isn't the most well known game developer but everybody who has heard of them loves them. And i have not talked to a single person who hates mass effect or KOTOR

BioWare/vALVE/Bethesda/Infinity Ward/Pandemic Studios

Your pick.

PS: A LOT of people hate activision
Bioware, certainly. Beautifully made games, with brilliant stories, long, fulfilling, new content made very quickly (DON'T complain about DA dlc, cos the game was 100 fucking hours long, it should have at least costed a bit more than other games).

Valve: Definetly bottom of that, apart from a very screwy Steam interface that they needlessly implanted, they've kept their entire fan base unhappy because of the lack of Half Life 2 Episode 3 (which will be bad).

Bethesda: Don't get this wrong, I LOVE Bethesda. BUT, I didn't like them ruining the Fallout series. (MY opinion, you're not allowed to get mad!).

Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer. Not much more to add.

Pandemic: My second favourite of these developers, I loved Destroy All Humans (never played 3, however).

Those are my thoughts on your post,

so I guess OT: Bioware

Not universal, what will the PC and Xbox fanboys say? They'll just be jealous.

Nah, it's precisely because they are so good which is why they'd be liked EVEN LESS!

Hmm, who is a developer that consistently delivers solid gold across a wide range of platforms...

For me I've always loved Bungie. They're always in touch with their fan base and they tend to listen to them as weel when making their games.
why are there so few who respect bungie? maybe they too involved cuz it seems everybody knows bungie well enough to blame them for everything bad that happens to them in game
