"Halo has no story."

The six games, anime films, live action shorts, seven books (five more on the way), short story collection, graphic novel, six comic books, character journal, and amazing audio drama beg to differ you fucking prick.

Other than that, not much, but I will correct people if I hear them saying things that are blatantly wrong.
This. Look, i LIKE Halo. I don't care if it "doesn't contribute" anything to gaming. It was the first FPS i ever played, and for that i love it.

OT. People who have only seen the Star Wars prequels (and not the original ones) and think that they know Everything about Star Wars ( mostly 8-10 year olds ).
Both of these. So so much.

It's particularly awful when people I know try and claim that the Prequels were BETTER FILMS! I have come close to punching people for saying that.
I have played most of the Halos, and have really enjoyed the experiences. However, this was in no way because of Halo's story(and 70% of what I played was the single player or co-op mode). I would in no way say that there is no story in Halo, that is not ture, but it is with out a doubt the weakest part of it. The focus of Halo is the gameplay, and the main objective of killing whoever gets in your way. The game could bring some of the more interesting concepts that are shown in the books and movies, but they didn't. If you want Halo's real interesting story you have to go see the movies, anime, or read the books. Thats fine if you really care, but thats not in the game. The way to make a good story in a game is to let the player do it, to introduce it through gameplay, but that is not what Halo does. Halo has a good story, but its not in the games.
That's fine. Whether or not you think the story is good is a matter of opinion, and (for the most part) I respect opinions that are different to mine. But the argument that Halo has 'no story at all' is just ignorance, which I do have a problem with.

Side Point: I've played all the games but apart from that have only ever read one of the books (First Strike), and yet I do have a decent grasp of the story, so maybe there's more in there than you think.

When people say "I don't really like books"
AARGHAHAH
And other peoples nerdness makes me nerd rage. Like when people think "Ahahaha it's funny because it's a meme" for example, it's funny because you mentioned Charlie Sheen. Or it's cool because it's a dragon or something. Dragon's don't make everything cool, it needs substance.
When people base too much Pokemon knowledge on the tv show not the game :(

Thirdly, they got the story extremely wrong(Farrah wasn't in the fucking game! She was in the first and third ones!).

What they were showing was Two Thrones; the third game. Farah was in that game.

Nerd Rage is a bad word, period.

I get taken out of the fiction when people button mash when pretending to play a videogame, or when they type too little to write a lot.

What triggers do you have that send you into a nerd-rage?

One of mine is when people ask why they didn't just ride the eagles to Mordor/Rivendell/etc. The eagles are heralds of and were devised by Manwë himself, the leader of the Valar. When they help, it is basically divine intervention. It's not like calling a horse or something. The eagles are not at your beck and call.

I know that I have others, but I can't recall them right now. Share yours!
Any Capcom game or Capcom Icon that gets destroyed over time

Example:
Megaman Battle Network ( I will never acknowledge that as Megaman)
Megaman Zero Series (I'm ok with the zero series, but they should have ended it at X6)
The New Devil may Cry (The one that even Kamiya said is horrid)

Oh, fuck, you're right. I originally saw the video a while back and was so repulsed that I missed which one it was. I didn't watch that whole video again, I just found it and...

Oh, God. I've made a technical mistake. I DIDN'T CHECK MY FACTS! FUCK! I must rage at myself now...

Damn, that was a bit of an overreaction.
You should totally

A fair point. However I still think the story could be presented better in the games then they are, but as you say that is just MY opinion and you are right. Our own personalities will always affect our individual experiences.

On a different note; you know what makes me just Rage? Always worrying about spelling right. It drives me insane!

Just plain stupid or ignorant people, like those that do completely irrelevant things when there is an obvious choice right under their FUCKING NOSE.

I also rage at people who don't understand something because they haven't been paying any attention to what's going on and they need to have story shoved down their throat in order for them to get it. This REALLY comes into play when it comes to Half Life 2's story.

"Why am I going through Ravenholm?"
- Because the way was blocked off, you have to escape, and because Alyx ALREADY EXPLAINED IT TO YOU!
"So I got in this jeep and I'm driving in this direction, but where exactly am I going again?"
- THEY TOLD YOU IN A RADIO TRANSMISSION! It's not the game's fault that you weren't listening!

You know what, I just don't like ignorant people. Yeah, that sums it up pretty good.

Back when I was playing WoW on a RP server, I could NERDRAGE endlessly about people who ignore in-universe rules just so they could have their character. This might also have to do with the fact that I DM at a D&D campaign.

But I hated the;
genki girl warlock.
The Light wielding undead.
People who played Blood Elf Deathknights as Darkfallen.
etc.

There was nothing wrong with say a non-xenophobic Night Elf. I mean there are exceptions to the general rule of a race.

But seeing as how Fel powers are extremely corruptive, illegal and basicly the blood of the enemy. Playing your warlock as a happy go lucky teenager really grinded my gears.

I felt like I died inside when Battle Network first came out and when they decided to make it a franchise. I played the first one, felt ashamed, and never touched it again.

OT: It's a little petty, but it bothers the hell out of me. Basically when someone refuses to read comic books because they are 'nerdy' but will go see a movie based on a comic book and love it. All of sudden I'm the go to person for some background info on the character, but they still won't read the damn comic!

CSI too for the same reasons..
YES...that, completely. I had to stop watching the show after I took my course in evidence collection and handling. I started screaming at the television every time they did anything;

"Why the #&%$(# are you setting up INSIDE the crime scene?!?!"

I used to love the show before I actually knew ANYTHING about evidence collection...

When people think they are Fallout fans and huge experts when they have played 3 and New Vegas. And they usually praise 3 way too much, especially for a person who has never played 1, 2, tactics or even BOS. Those people are usually just annoying as all hell.

Unfortunately loads of things make me nerd rage. Mostly people who say Evil Dead 2 is a remake!
The first 8 minutes are a re-cap of the first film but only focusing on Ash and his girlfriend. Filmaker Sam Raimi couldn't get the rights to the first films footage or all the actors to reprise their roles for the re-cap.
The second film starts when the force in the woods grabs him.

Pretty much how people play video games in tv show and film. How hard is it to simply film them playing a game for real? Example I think it was in Angel or Buffy that Spike was playing a Donkey Kong game on the N64 however in the next scene he is playing it with a PS2 control pad!
This. Just this.

It's even worse when what's shown on the screen looks nothing like an actual video game would look like, yet it's passed off as being a "video game."

The topic on the front page of the off-topic forums "Which anime character are you most like" makes me nerd rage in that every single person who posts in it is either delusional or a liar. Seriously, they are characters, not people and any similarities you have to them are either entirely superficial or you are mimicking said character that you like.

I like hamburgers and kids, does that me like Ronald frickin' McDonald?

Nor am I the Hulk because I'm angry.

Remind that evolution is a theory, but so is religion. That equalises the positions, so you can play the Evidence Game.
