I think for me it was watching Doomsday Arcade and understanding EVERY single joke they made for the entirety of the show.
Yeah. I know how that feels. But I'm a nerd and, goddammit, i like it!

Well, one time I was playing basketball with my friends and I yelled "I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome then you!" at the guy guarding me. It was funny.

I started incorporating military slang into everyday speech, and I sound very scary when I talk about guns.

Probably when I went out to diner with a few co-workers, and my one nerdier friend who was with us brought the conversation to Magic the gathering. And one of the aforementioned co-workers was an attractive bartender, the other was the owner of said bar. It was an interesting conversation as we (and I have no idea why) went on to list every different format in the game. It was a bit awkward, but atleast now they know I am a nerd, and hopefully they may even begin to understand my need to quote Futurama, Pulp Fiction and Blade Runner on an almost nightly basis. Hopefully.

I can't remember a time when I wasn't a full fledged nerd! :)

I remember being 4 or 5 and having a mickey mouse shovel, however more often then not that shovel was either the Enterprise, or a blaster from Star Wars. So that ought to add to the story portion of the question.
I also used to make pretend with objects. I used to pretend shampoo bottles were the Starship Voyager.
I can see how Voyager would look like a shampoo bottle! Wanna know something crazy, I have one of the Voyager models that was like $20 when it came out, I came across it on Amazon the other day, it's worth over $100 :) who says keeping your toys doesn't pay ;)

Oh yes I forgot one other thing that makes me a super nerd. I watch Dr. Who and think the 10th doctor was by far the best. *sigh* Let's see what else I forgot to add. Hmmm oh yea, my manga collection is huge, I took Japanese in high school and want to get a minor in it, my room is filled will Anime plushies and figures, I love the movie Distract 9, I'm a BioWare and Valve fan girl and I almost screamed and giggled watching the Portal 2 trailer from E3 yesterday.

When I was walking down the street and someone was yelling the same thing over and over and I seriously thought to myself: "Oh great that person is glitching. Why can't developers check these things before sending out their games." And then I realized I wasn't even playing a game.

I have sung the entire Still Alive theme song while people could hear me.
I did that in harmony with two of my friends back in high-school. Sadly, we don't have it recorded.

I also quote Team Fortress 2: I was talking to a Scottish friend of mine once, and we were on the topic of countries and politics and etceteras, when all of a sudden I burst out, in a perfect Soldier voice, "Scotland is not a real country! You are an Englishman with a dress!" Everyone in the room looked at me like I'd gone crazy.

I can imitate almost all the TF2 Mercenaries perfectly... the one exception being the Pyro, of course. There's a large amount of quotes in my repertoire, particularly those of the Soldier, Scout, Heavy and Spy.

Edit: Oh, and I have the LoadingReadyRun theme music as my phone's ringtone.

I am so jealous, I wish I had the model. All I can do is sort of angle my fingers down from my palm to make it look like the front section and then fly my hand around making whooshing noises. Still cool though. I discovered that trick when I was 6. It made me happy.

I named my 360 Natasha and my car Sasha. Anytime someone gets in my car I tell them not to hurt Sasha. Then i'll wait for someone to walk by my car and i'll set off the alarm. Then i'll yell "Who touched my car!"

Well around the time when I had a gaming marathon lasting over 70+ hours without sleep and felt proud of myself... then slept for about 4 hours before waking up and trying to beat that record.

(I DID go to the toilet and I DID eat, though I guess plain bread doesn't really count as a meal...)

It happened in Iraq. We had apparently come across a building full of RPGs. When my squad leader told us this piece of news, my first response was, "Role Playing Games?" For a moment I wondered why Saddam Hussein was stockpiling copies of Final Fantasy throughout Iraq; perhaps he mistook METEOR as an actual weapon of mass destruction.

Of course, my fire team leader corrected me with a deadpan look. "Rocket Propelled Grenades."

hmm...
what did i start quoting first...?
..............
road to el dorado! the dreamworks cartoon!
"on one hand, gold. on the other hand..PAINFUL..AGONIZING....FAILURE"
then i started getting into the games as i got older, and now i quote star wars, star trek, mass effect (all the time), imitate krogans from mass effect (and even talk like them), and still watch el dorado to this day.

and now i listen to the spice girls in my room and blast the offspring out my car window.

I realized my nerdism when I called Dell to get a new hard drive for my computer because it had crapped out after only a few months. I told the tech support guy exactly what was wrong with my computer. He insisted we do tests anyway. After two hours of tests he decided that I was right in my assessment of the problem and apologized for not listening to me.

I was playing Alan Wake, and about halfway through the very first chapter, I shouted,"I cast magic missile on the darkness!"

This was the most recent. I'm sure there were some from when I was younger. Like, when I was six and I chose to play Donkey Kong instead of go to the zoo with my grandparents.

Me and some of my friends would have super power battles all the time and on e of my friends came up with a character he called Paranoia Lad. He had the Power of infinite luck and no matter what was impossible to beat. If you want an example PM me with any power and I will enplane how Infinite luck will win.
