But there were so, so many games that were casual orientated on the PS2 back in the day, so many it's blinding, but people seem to just reject them whenever they think of the console.WraithGadra said:In my experience, the prevailing logic is that it's ok for a game to be garbage as long as it at least attempts to appeal to the "hardcore" sensibilities. If a game attempts to appeal to "casuals", it will be crucified. If a game is garbage and attempts to appeal to "casuals", than nothing can save it from the oncoming fury it will endure.Darkrai said:Quite odd. But I agree with WraithGadra. The amount of shovelware on the Wii is nowhere near as high as the PS2.ChromeAlchemist said:ChromeAlchemist said:You and me both...well you and me only Darkrai. When I eventually get my PS3 I doubt I'll love it as much as I have this console, but only time will tell.Darkrai said:I'm proud to be a Wii owner. I love the Wii more than my X360. I can't wait for all those titles coming out soon.THIS. FOR FUCK SAKE.WraithGadra said:A third proud Wii owner reporting in. I just picked up Boom Blox Bash Party and LIT, and I couldn't be having more fun by myself. I'm going to try to pick up No More Heroes and Deadly Creatures, and with plenty of other games in the pipeline (most awaited being Wii Sports Resort and Water Warfare), my Wii will be entertaining everyone in the house for a long time.
Also, to everyone lamenting about the amount of Wii shovelware, remember that the PS2 has over 1000 games released for it with more being made. How many of those do you think are worth playing?
I've been saying that for so, so long. The PS2 is considered to be loved by all, and yet about 60 percent of the titles on it are garbage and shovelware (me and my friends said that the PlayStation was a whore console). But apparently people seemed to forget that when they talk about the PS2, bit odd isn't it?
But yes, that logic is correct.
