The remastered, higher definition, fuller version of Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Nintendo Switch is *half* the size of the WiiU version

Since I'm still on Resident Evil 4 Remake, here's something I don't see in a lot of games: teeth. Well, lots of characters have teeth, but they're usually perfectly straight and white even in cases where that'd be kinda weird to expect, and the only time someone's teeth aren't perfect is because it's a plot point of some kind. But I noticed that multiple characters in this game, the big one I noticed being Krauser but there's lots of examples, just have crooked teeth with irregular gaps or slight discoloration, and it's not a big deal. It's just that these characters haven't got perfect Hollywood teeth like every other game character, and I appreciate that for some reason.

Really putting those next-gen graphical capabilities to use.

At the start of Chapter 2 of Black Myth Wukong, the area is introduced by a headless monk singing a folk song, which is not dubbed in the English dub. When you meet him later and he's not singing, he speaks with a Scottish accent. It seems out of place, but there is a reason for it: The folk song is styled after a specific part of China, Shanxi Province, which looks a bit like Great Britain. More specifically, since it's based on northern Shanxi, someone from there having a Scottish accent suddenly fits much better.

Probably because Xenoblade Chronicles X was ten years ago and and compression techniques are simply way better now. The Wii U also had a pretty slow disc drive, so the disc versions of a lot of the larger games, eg Xeno X and NBA 2K13, are that large in file size because they contain a lot of duplicate dummy data there to compensate for that slow drive/help with loading, and even then you still needed to download additional data.

Also, Monolithsoft are pretty good at squeezing every last drop out of the Switch by now.

REVII is like this too. Almost disturbingly so.

Most of the stories that Kratos tells Atreus during God of War 4 are actually Aesop's fables:

And of course, the tortoise and the hare. Though, the story of the frog and the scorpion is actually believed to be a more modern one.

Such fables are meant to be recognized and applied in one's own life as a means of guiding the young and foolish, so Kratos telling them isn't just to advise Atreus on what he believes is the right path, but - as is often pointed out - they apply to his own experience in hindsight, so well that a lot of people don't even know that Kratos is cribbing those stories from Aesop and elsewhere (other than the tortoise and the hare, everybody knows that one.)

In Ninja Gaiden II (Black)/Sigma 2, each of the 4 Greater Fiends have a counter hit state you can knock them into being. It depends on what attack they're using. With the right timing and weapon, and depending on the attack, you can interrupt, stunning them and/or taking a huge damage out their respective life bar. You can do this with a Level 1 charged Ultimate Technique. There are hidden orbs you can find in Hayabusa's Village late game (or in Chapter Challenge Chapter #2) where you aim your bow and air at paper targets. There are three of them, and each three has a group of different color orbs. One target has all yellow orbs, the second target has red orbs, and the final target has blue orbs.

On Mentor and above, certain orb chests are randomized, and you will either get an orb, ghostfish, or bats will spawn from them. Killing them quickly nets you those orbs, but they will be randomized.

During the mission 'Most Wanted' in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, there's a section at the start where you have to infiltrate a Senator's gala to get a photo of his retina. There are several areas of the gala that are restricted, meaning that you have to sneak through them without being caught by the guards. If you are caught, though, and you aren't actively doing anything suspicious (including returning to a restricted area after being caught once), the guards will simply tell you to leave rather than immediately failing the mission. Which makes sense, given that they're not guarding a top-secret military installation and you aren't (as far as they know) an enemy spy, just a journalist who got a bit too ahead of himself chasing a story, while also making the mission forgiving enough for people bad at stealth to complete it.

Nice touch in Avowed (PC), where I saw a destructable wall in the main city of Paradis, and duly knocked it down. A random NPC on the street started berating me as a hoodlum for destroying property and pointing out I can just walk around it (which is true, you can).

The buttons you use to activate the four stances in Ghost of Tsushima correspond to the types of enemies they're designed to be most effective against:
-Stone (for enemies with swords) is activated with X, which looks like two crossed swords.
-Water (for enemies with shields) is activated with Circle, which looks like a round shield like the enemies use.
-Wind (for enemies with spears) is activated with Triangle, the pointed tip of the enemy's spear.
-Moon (for large enemies) is activated with Square, and it's large and bulky like the big brutes.
