Most Favorite: Blood Ravens hands down. Gabriel Angelos FTW! That guy is just straight up awesome!

Least favorite: I really don't have a least favorite. But if I had to choose I'd have to say the Space Wolves, because Leman Russ, it's primarch, disobeyed a direct order from the Emperor in favor of Horus.

I know a bit of the history behind this: Leman Russ was ordered to find Magnus the Red and bring him before the Emperor to answer for his crime of dabbling in sorcery. Horus, however managed to persuade him to kill Magnus if he found him. Why would Leman Russ defer to Horus over the Emperor himself? That makes no sense! Granted, Horus was the Warmaster of the Imperial legions but the Emperor still outranks him on every level. There was no reason to listen to Horus over the Emperor.

...So that's it. I kinda dislike the Space Wolves because their primarch was a little too easy to fool.

Favorite: Ultramarines (I like their colour scheme XD), Space wolves because their leader supposedly rides a giant wolf into battle.

Least Favorite: Blood Ravens <_< I'm fed up of them being the focus of every Dawn Of War game.

Favorite? Blood Ravens, totally. Not only did they feature in 2 kickass games and ultimately wind up absolutely destryoing themselves to avoid heresy, but they somehow managed to weather the unbrdiled horrors that were the Blood Ravens novels. That is impressive, ladies and gentlemen.

My least favorite is almost the Ultramarines, but lately there's been something of a cultural backlash that makes them cool again; so I'll go with the Grey Knights, because they lost all of their awesome a few months ago.

Space Wolves and Black Templar would be my favorite and my least favorite are any with a double colour pattern running down the middle. And on another note, I can't believe google chrome is telling me i'm spelling colour wrong.

Favourite: Pre-Heresy World Eaters. Their sole tactic is to escalate every fight until the enemy is horrified. Post-Heresy would be the Imperial Fist. Because camouflage means you fear the enemy.

Least favourite are all chapters without bright colours. Like Raven Guard, Black Templars, Dark Angels, though i dont really hate any of them.

For me its a toss up between the Iron Warriors (especially since the last heresy book and what the loyalist Iron Warriors did for the Imperium) and the Space Wolves (fighting on no matter the odds to do what is necessary even if they were misguided when they destroyed the Thousand Sons)

I just hate the goddamn Imperial Fists and all their successor chapters but the Soul Drinkers (who broke from the Imperium) and Crimson Fists (who just are total badasses).

And i cant wait to see what goes on with the Ultramarines during the heresy series because from the last book it looked like Guilliman was preparing to defend his own empire from Horus AND the loyalist legions and not protect the Imperium...

Sarcastic (But True) Answer: The one lying dead behind my legions of Traitor (Chaos) Marines.

I kind of like the Grey Knights, purely because of all the specialist gear they get and they have an edgier look to them than your standard marine clones. I like the Raven Guard as well... Even if I have in the past taken out 3 squads in close combat with a single unit and not sustained a single wound... but hey, at least they look cool.

Fairly new to Warhammer myself, but from what I've read and seen of the Space Marines I don't really care for any of them. They, along with the Orcs, are probably my least favourite factions in the games/mythos. Then again, I play Tyranids so they're all just food for the Hive anyway.

If I have to pick a favourite I guess I'd go with Grey Knights. I like their look the most, and their backstory makes them sound pretty bad ass, even if it's the same sort of bland badass as the rest of the Chapters. Least favourite is probably the Ultramarines. Not because I actually know that much about their history, but because I really don't like their shade of blue.

I'd have to say that my favorite are the Black Templars, the fact that they carelessly throw themself at the enemy because they seek a greater death, just sort of speaks to me. Also the whole non-phsycker thing is pretty sweet, they don't want anything that uses warp powers except for when they travle from systems.
My least favorite, I would probably say Space Wolfs because everyone else seem to love them, but really they don't just seem that appelling to me.

Top three for me would be the Salamanders, Space Wolves and Blood Angels in roughly that order.

Bottom three are the Iron Hands, Warbringers and Deathwatch (not a real Chapter, I know, but they're a stupid idea and should never have been introduced: anything that steals its backstory from Men In Black is just plain dumb.)

That being said, I'm primarily a Chaos player so my favourite Legions are the Iron Warriors, Worldeaters and Alpha Legion.

Favourite: Dark Angels. Half their legion went rogue (apparently) and they wiped most of them out and stayed loyal. Plus, their Primarch is still alive, deep inside The Rock, their moving fortress which is on the remains of their own planet. Which they obliterated when the others went rogue.

Least Favourite: Either Space Wolves or the Ultras...
What literature have you read that says the traitorous LION EL'JOHNSON is still alive?
I mean he was the one that decided to sit back and wait and see who was going towwin before he truly chose a side. Why do you think the greatest tactician ever known to the imperium got Held up on his way to terra for the seige? I know Luther is still alive on the rock and in prison but not the LION.

OT: Templars rock, as do Space puppies. Like the Grey knights cause they have cool stuff and all and deathwatch take the best to fight against humanities worst foes. Also love the Imperial Fists and Salamanders.

Least have to be the Blood Angels or Ultra Smurfs. Just Dont like em dont know why.

Favourite: Imperial Fists, nothing says death just like bright yellow power armour.

Least favourite: White Scars, never liked bike marines so an army of them is just annoying. Plus all that white, must be a pain to paint.

As a former Eldar player they are all expendable to me anyway.
