The one-liners were beyond awful, and the peeing scene was a few seconds too long.
Also, I know we're not here for the story, but... seriously?

But at least they have the sense of humor to be self-deprecating after 14 damn years.

The only bad thing I can say about the trailer is that the one liners sound terrible, and not "funny terrible" either, just generally terrible.

The rest of the stuff shown in the trailer though looks good.

What do you mean by that? Were they poorly delivered to you? Not witty enough for you? What?

This is epic. Truly. Still, just one question: How the hell does this not have an Adult Only rating!? That had one of the biggest ESRB tags I've ever seen, and all for the top of about everything that can be considered mature.
Actually, 2 questions:
How the hell does John St. Jon sound EXACTLY the same as he did around 12 years ago, the only difference being better audio quality to capture his amusing one liners?

1. I think the tone played a big part in it. The only reason this isn't AO is because it's all played for laughs. Duke is meant to entertain, not disgust.

2. Because Jon St. Jon is fucking awesome.

3. According to the trailer Duke's Really, REALLY, All out of gum now.

I must admit, I wasn't too fussed on DNF despite playing the older games. But this trailer has made me definitely consider buying it. But I really hope they don't have all the best one liners in the trailer...

Also, if you're expecting 12 years worth of game development then you're going to be sorely disappointed XD

I may not be too fond of Duke as a character, but it looks like Gearbox has done a damn good job. Big explosions, cool guns, sarcastic one-liners, twisted humor, and more enough nudity to make Kratos blush...

This is looking more and more like a Day 1 purchase. I'm still not quite convinced, but another trailer or two should fix that.

I concur. It will be a breath of fresh air on consoles filled with realistic shooters to be playing a fps that doesn't take itself seriously.

Yeah I know what you mean. I just showed the trailer to my partner - who I've been with for 8 years (we have two children together) and when she looked at me I was jumping up and down with excitement.

I've never seen a look that says "oh shit i'm living with a moron" so well.

But stuff her, I was playing Duke when it first came out so to be honest I've had a relationship with Duke for longer than I've had with my mrs.

On one hand it looks decent enough to play, so I'll likely buy it a few weeks after it comes out, on the other I'm a little sad it's actually getting released, we're losing on of our best jokes!

In another 10 years there will be games who wont get the Duke Nukem Forever jokes, just as there are people now who don't get the Daikatana jokes.

We should make people take game culture classes before their allowed anything more advanced then Wii Fit.

So much awesome in this trailer.........so very very much. Definately buying.

But between this and Bulletstorm, will we see a wave of increasingly childish shooters that get progressively worse as they are pumped out while the public appetite for them is still strong? I hope not. I'm not too flash on those third person racing sequences either.
