The thing with false modesty, Mr. Bay, is that you need to have some talent to back it up. But you go and single-handedly boost the economy, and God bless ya.

I didn't think Revenge of the Fallen was that bad. It wasn't as bad as I expected. I think people like MovieBob and others are getting their panties in a twist over nothing. Don't watch it if you are going to cry that much, it's as simple as that. Too bad the world is filled with the so-called "intelligent society" ("I can ***** and cry more than you, that makes me smarter").
You're right! Legitimate criticism about cultural filth is just 'bitching and moaning'. Let's all sit back, drink our Bud Lights and watch Delta Farce and White Chicks on DVD until our eyes bleed.

Anti-intellectualism astounds me, honestly. What in god's name is wrong with being smart?
These people aren't smart, they are fucking whiners who know what a Thesaurus is.
Uh, no. Explain to me how a movie critic that didn't like a crappy movie, then ripped it to shreds as the piece of trash it is is whiny or unintelligent.

Let it die already....please......... Acting and writing aside the art direction and use of artsy walking junk piles is just disgusting to me.....

GI joe was horrible because they ad lib'd the plot to death not to mention the story sucked too, Wolverinve had the same issues with plot dickary,Dragon ball was nasty..and it could so easily have been great... Star trek was great at least even if the plot was as bad as all of the above in one film ><

Plz to however dose the next Star Trek movie....stop dicking with time and parallel worlds its annoying ><

How's he going to top all the bad aspects of his movies? With strippers and porn stars of course! But in all honesty, I didn't think the Transformers movies were half bad... Just me?

*Sam is stunned by a flash of light as a DMC-12 screams in apparently from thin air*
*A man that looks a lot like Christopher Loyde in a lab coat hops out looking very frazzled*
Doc: "SAM! You've got to come with me to 2010!"
Sam: "Why Doc what happens in 2010?!"
Doc: "They begin filming Transformers 3, and if we don't stop it your gonna be doing a 35minute scene of you and Megan Fox running through a reimagined Cybertron, where all the buildings are shaped like penises! It ruins your career!"
Sam: "Doc aren't we breaking character?"
Doc: "No this is really the writing, we need to hurry!"

Hmm... on a side note, why were they ever in a hurry to do things in Back to the Future...

Because if they took things slow the movie would be too long, duh ;)

Or, you know, they are critiquing a steaming pile of insubstantial eye candy? Just maybe? Sure, there's plenty here who are just hating, but there's a good reason the majority here hates: there's a certain level of standards we apply to what we want to watch. Hating haters doesn't make you smart, and insulting people because you adore something that they find offensive is not exactly demonstrative of a whole load of intelligence on your part either, now is it?

Here's the deal...if Transformers 3 creates all these jobs the people doing these jobs should be required to sit through the Transformers trilogy without blowing their brains out. Let's see how long they last.

ROBOT PORN. But instead of cumshots there's explosions.
Think about it.

Oh and, I'm trying to defend Transformers 2 in any way, but... he sort of has a point. The movie DID make a shitton of money and probably fed a lot of families in the process.

I am with you on this one. I have been saying similar about the new Spiderman movie in 2012. But this is the internet and it has been old faithful when it comes to things like this. You have a better chance of getting the sun to take a week off and come back refreshed than getting the internet to not complain about a movie.

I both agree and disagree with this. I agree with the idea of given everything a fair shot but if you've seen it, or in this case seen previous in the series, and didn't like it, then you're allowed to make some assumptions on the next and voice your opinion. That said, there's a massive difference between 'I'm smarter than you' and 'this made my brain hurt.' Example: I stopped watching CSI because almost every time they found themselves on a subject I knew, they got some part of it painfully wrong. Same thing, friend of mine (A doctor) can't watch House for the same reasons.

Besides, if person A has the right to cheer from the rooftops, person B is allowed to point out the flaws.

For my money, Transformers is a treasured part of my childhood and Bay is, or was for the first, banking on that nostalgia to get butts in the seats. It's dicey territory

I actually liked Revenge of the Fallen. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it had some good jokes, and the action sequences were really good. The plot might not have been as cohesive as it could have been, but hey, at the end of the day, it's hard to keep a plot about fighting robot cars on a believable level.

Haven't seen either Transformer movies, intend to keep it that way. Must preserve childhood memories as much as possible.

Why not a cybertron based movie with nothing but robots?

The most awkward part is how they shoe-horn in catchphrases and noises from the TV show.
