Day breaks, and Ishtul wakens after a long and restless night. Not looking forward to the arduous climb down five flights of stairs, but not quite feeling like jumping out of a fifth story window, he slowly pulls himself out of bed. After donning his leather chestpiece, gloves, boots, leggings, and helm, Ishtul grabs his bow and quiver and heads to the exit.
After finally reaching the ground floor, Ishtul proceeds out the exit, ignoring a dirty look from the bartender.
Standing in the middle of the street, in a town he did not even know the name of, with absolutely no leads as to where he was supposed to head, other than the possibility of Trollslottet, Ishtul was close to giving into despair. Even if he were to find the party, and that blasted wolf, he wasn't even certain if he could best them in battle, especially it they were together.
Dismayed, Ishtul left the town to continue along the path to Trollslottet, wondering if he should just give up. Though his task seemed impossible, he knew his Master would not tolerate failure, and that displeasing the Master tended to lead to slow and horrifying death.
And so, Ishtul continued on down the road, contemplating life, until he saw animal tracks on the path. Normally, this would not concern him, but these tracks were not crossing, but directly following the path. Towards Trollslottet even!
Excited at what might finally be a lead after all this time, Ishtul hurriedly bends down to examine the tracks. Looking closer, he finds two sets of tracks, side by side. The larger of the two looks to be remarkably canine, but far too large for an animal around this area. The other is much smaller, barely leaving an imprint in the hardened dirt of the road.
Ishtul, looking back on what he knows of druids, knows that they can transform into animals and generally have animal familiars. He also notices that the two animals appear to be alone, as no other recent tracks are nearby. Believing that he is finally back on the trail of the damned wolf once again, Ishtul hurries along the path, eager to catch up to his prey.
