To be fair though the writer was charged with turning the twilight novels into a full fledged movie, and lets face it their is only so much you can do with that tripe.Woem said:Remember, it's by the Twilight screenwriter. Things won't be that simple.The_root_of_all_evil said:If it's worse thanHighlander 2(We dare not speak its name), then I shall be impressed.
But seriously, Guy meets other Guy, chops off head. Rinse-repeat. I just Chop and Go.
"There can be only one!"
...
"But why?"
"Why must we always fight?"
"I'm in love with a teenager."
"Is my ass fat in these pants?"
uhmmm.... what are you talking about? I just watched highlander and there were no Egyptians. There was "Scotsmen" and a mongol or something.Thingo said:Oh god... Not the Egyptians... We built one of the greatest achievements of ancient civilization, and this is where we end up? That's it, i'm going to go kill whatever controls the universe. There's no going back.
I mean, sure, the first was alright, but she is so going to drag all the awesomeness of Egyptian names into the ground... Kind of like she did with vamps in New Moon.
No he really is just a shit actor... I cant think of a good American movie with him in it, besides Tarzan...even then.Verlander said:I hate reboots, never spend money on them, but this interests me. Mainly because it can't be as bad as the original franchise. I mean, the first one was iconic, but it's still a pretty bad film. Christopher Lambert is a shit actor (in Highlander anyway), the lighting and general mise-en-scene is awful, and so was the special effects and action scenes. The premise and the soundtrack carried it, and those are the only two things that should be kept
Fourth, actually. There already was a third [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highlander:_The_Animated_Series].Sabrestar said:"Oh no" was my first thought. But it may not be as bad as all that. Hopefully there's room for Adrian Paul (despite my ex having a scary crush on him, I still like him better than Christopher Lambert).
Or else there'll be a third McLeod immortal (which wouldn't surprise me either).
The only good thing to come out of this reboot is that it will surely spawn a hilarious review from Spoony.Folksoul said:God, Spoony is going to go apeshit.
Hey now he played Raiden in the first Mortal Kombat movie and that movie is generally consider a successful movie, a successful movie based on a video game anyways.Fumbles said:No he really is just a shit actor... Anybody ever watched that Beowulf movie he did with it set in the future? it is craptastic...
I think that is part of his appeal, He's so bad that he's "good". I cringe the moment he speaks in almost any movie he acts in. I know part of it is his accent (which he cannot help) but there is just something about his stage presense that just screams bad. Kind of like Vin Diesel (outside of Pitch Black).RoBi3.0 said:Hey now he played Raiden in the first Mortal Kombat movie and that movie is generally consider a successful movie, a successful movie based on a video game anyways.Fumbles said:No he really is just a shit actor... My memory is kind of hazy, but wasn't Sean Connery's character Egyptian or something? Or maybe it was someone else, but i'm quite sure there's some kind of Egyptian somewhere in there. And i do know this movie is going to rape him and all the other Highlander characters till all traces of their dignity are gone.Fumbles said:uhmmm.... what are you talking about? Hey has anyone ever noticed that the actor who is playing the Spaniard has a more Scottish accent then the Scot. Now I will attribute this to Christopher Lamberts' awful ass acting but still.
