Oh, are we playing the game of "pokemon nonsensical plot elements"?

Shit, where do I start?

How about the fact that they can breath fire, vomit water, or shoot lightning bolts endlessly, and can ALL UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!
Well as we learned in Dragonball Z (Abridged) English (Japanese?) is the universal language.

HE DIDN'T EXIST!
It's not that hard of a path of logic to follow dude. In the days where there were only 151 pokemon for us to obsess over and collect yes, there was no "cow pokemon" to fill the gap for a domesticated species which could produce milk for the humans. It can be easily deduced that in the early years of the franchise it was simply an assumed thing that there were indeed actual cows on farms somewhere that produced a viable source for both milk and beef products.

When the pokemon miltank was conjured up to bolster the already swelling ranks of pokemon it was more than likely pitched that "Hey, now we have a cow pokemon, lets do some retcon and say its species is responsible for all the milk in the world."

In the world of long running franchises, retcon makes the world spin round. Now young padowan you have learned that lesson. Also, troll harder imo.

I wonder, are there animals besides pokemon in the pokemon universe? Or is this really a universe that overly celebrates its animals? Lol, imagine in our universe... ELEPHANT! I CHOOSE YOU! ELEPHANT, USE TRUNK BASH!

Okay. Check it.

Assuming that electrode is a perfect sphere and it is 1.2m tall, we can safely say that the radius is .6m and the volume of electrode is (4/3)πr³= ~.90478 m³.

According to the poke'dex its mass is 66.6kg. Therefore its density is m/v= ~73.60916 kg/m³.

And we all know water's density is 1000kg/m³, give or take a few drops in temperature and chemical composition.

Therefore, according to Archimedes's principle, electrode should be able to learn surf, dangnabit.

Also, koffing shouldn't be able to float. Same principle.

As stated before: pokemon evolution is more akin to human maturation.

Ice-cream possible answer 1: moo-moo milk is Johto's biggest export; miltank don't have to be native to Kanto, it's just like how you can buy milk without owning a cow.
2: It was a vegan alternative; In one of the earliest episodes (I think it was around the time Ash caught Krabby and ran into Bill), Oak was whining about having to eat tofu. Perhaps it's tofu icecream? Does that work? If not, then assume fabricated milk.
3: Milk does not always come from a cow. Goats also come to mind, but other than that, I can't think of any without consulting the rest of the internet.

And female Tauros is just like a male Mr Mime; it doesn't make sense, but exists. Using pokelogic intermixed with our assumed real-world logic, the female Tauros would give milk.

Regarding Arceus being the Pokegod and that whole argument:
Jews believe in one God.
Christians believe this God game to Earth in human form, died, was resurrected, etc..
Muslims believe that all three of these umbrella religions share the same God.
As far as Buddhism goes: to my knowledge, there are different sects of Buddhism, which vary when it comes to details about monotheism vs polytheism.

Regarding non-pokemon animals in the pokemon universe:
I vaguely recall mention of regular animals appearing in the pokemon universe, but the cartoon tends to substitute the pokemon version of the animal at all chances.

I'll give you a better Pokemon question to blow your mind.

With the inclusion of Arceus, the God Pokemon, we now know that God is a Pokemon. Aren't we supposed to be created in God's image? In that case, if God is a Pokemon, then Pokemon were created in God's image.

So then, what are we?
See, you're mixing Christianity and the Pokemon mythos.
In the Poke-world, Arceus didn't do the whole "create humans in his image" thing. According to Pokemon all did was come into existence, create the two Pokemon that made Space and Time, and the three that make souls. Then he buggered off.

As for why humans don't evolve, it's because they already have evolved as far as they can go for now. Mew was the original species of Pokemon and from them evolved all other life, including humans. So yeah, humans don't evolve for the same reason that your Raichu won't.

yeah, those female Tauros are called Miltank. look it up. Tauros is male-only, Miltank is female-only, and they're both cattle, therefore they're the mamalian equivilant of Nidoran, minus the evolution. now all we need is a super-adorable calf Pokemon that evolves differently based on gender.

also, something i forgot; Pokemon technically don't evolve. evolution doesn't happen all at once to a specific individual, it happens to an entire race over a period of time. that's why humans don't evolve; because Pokemon don't either. what they do is similar to what a caterpillar does, or what Kamen Riders Shin and Gills do, only Shin and Gills can shift between human and Kamen Rider forms. (if you could even call Shin a Rider. his Rider form is actually closer to the form of a monster-of-the-week, what with it being all organic and violence-inducing.)
