How literal are they being with "everyone" in that statement? Because I'm fairly sure by 2013 there will still be people who can't afford regular TVs, let alone 3D ones.

huh... so not going to happen unless they come up with an awesome new type of TV that costs < $700 for a huge ass scene that also happens to have 3d as an added bonus feature.

So yea gonna say no way in hell.

I have a TV and PC from 10 years ago. I'll finally be buying a HD TV in a year or 2, I'm sure a year after that i'll be splashing out $1000 for a 3D one. Sure ;D

Uhh... My current HDTV cost me $1400, so there's no way in hell I'd buy a $3000 for some stupid 3D gimmick.

Unless they are going to fund it, and deliver it to my house, i think they are wrong. Hell i don't even have HD tv, im so hardcore. I only use my TV set to watch news because my work requires that, for all i care it could still be black and white.

I solemnly swear I will not buy a 3D television nor watch a 3D movie in theaters until the technology advances to holodeck levels, or at the very least, Minority Report. Sorry, Ubisoft. Once again, you can go fuck yourself.

Sacré bleu! Not everyone can afford/be bothered with a 3000? gimmick TV, Ubisoft. Not to mention that many of us are quite satisfied with more modest screens, say, my 27" LCD.

And 2001: Space Odyssey predicted we'd have a lunar colony by now and launch a manned mission to Jupiter. And look how that turned out. :p
The difference is, 2001: A space Odyssey was an absolute masterpiece. This is some PR guy at Ubi overstepping his bounds.

Regardless, while it isn't entirely unreasonable to speculate that the price of the TVs and glasses will drop to an affordable level in three years, it still isn't likely. The technology just isn't developing quickly enough.

"It'll start slowly this year. But like HDTV I wouldn't rule out the fact that this will be installed in everyone's living room in three year's time, and for us to be in a position to have content that could really look absolutely amazing in 3D."

My family doesn't even have a HDTV yet ._.

I'm only getting a 3D TV if these fuckers (or some other fuckers) buy me one. Perfectly happy with my HDTV, thank you very much.

Well, if you look at ubisofts line up of games for the next year or so, I don't think they should be allowed to predict the future.
