Am I the only one who is reminded of Superman 64 during the "flying through rings" portion? Just reeks of failure all around.
Yeah but now you are slapping some fine chicks rear, who cares if you win =p

I also don't see how this is innovation, it looks like a crappy minigame generator, mashing faces against a remote and sticking it in your pants to get "spanked" doesn't mean it is using innovation, you could pretty much use the same "innovative" control methods to play mario party.

The Wii itself was innovation, but nudging/shaking/and mashing buttons on a wiimote is just that whether or not it is down your pants. Good on them for trying a relatively unsuccessful marketing ploy (sexy boardgames, which if required to "spice up" a relationship should be a red-flag that that relationship is doomed) on a new platform, but that too does not "innovation" make.

Though I don't think it was wrong to make this game, get out there and get PAID, Ubisoft, but let's not pretend it is something it isn't. It is a minigame platform, that could be used within ANY context, it just so happens that this one is aiming for a different demographic. Nothing wrong or right about this, it is just an attempt at a wider market share.

This makes games and gamers seem sophisticated and mature in the eyes of mass media, a game where you put a plastic phallic symbol in your pants and have someone slap it. I now feel as if I need to throw lye in my eyes and bleach in my mouth as a way to mourn the death of good Ubisoft games.

It doesn't look all that bad, and it's really the attitude and actions of the people playing the game that determines how dirty it gets. Like a game of Truth or Dare, it can be naughty or just silly.

People's reactions in this thread are a bit strong for what is just a party game marketed more for adults.

honestly, I've watched the video and i really don't see what is everyone so fussed about.

That it gets a 12+ rating, ok, fine, that's discussable.

But the game itself? pff, hell, if ubisoft feels there's money to be made there, why shouldn't they try? innovation has often been a great way to start a trend and make money (Minecraft anyone?) and, the other thing is, deny it or not, sex is lucrative. So, as far as being a precursor for that type of game goes, i see no problem.

On the debatable topic of sex games, how exactly is that game offensive or degrading? how exactly is it different from the usual porn magazine or video that all male adults peek at every now and then? yeah yeah, its taboo, and so are porn magazine and yet, they're still kinda part of our culture because they're mentionned pretty often in movies, books and songs. and all males thinks that Playboy, the brand, is actually cool even if no one wants to get caught with a magazine in their closet.

I think that the reality we need to face is that we are growing to be a gamer society, no longer is gaming restricted to dorks that watch star wars in their sleep while playing AD&D. There's no reason why sex games cannot be included as part of an evening between consenting adults if they so choose, or just with your partner if that's what you prefer.

Playing this game doesn't stop a person from "getting a life", going out, having fun or getting high, it just adds on top of the stuff we can already do.

Anyway, I'm not trying to defend the game by no means, i am simply not understanding why the writer takes such an offended nun stance on it and why the readers are following because, seriously, the first thought that occurred to me after viewing the video was "ok, so what?"
None said the game was offending or degrading.
They were just saying that the game is lame.

EDIT: i guess facepalm works well or maybe it is not strong enough to describe it

Next what? A Kinect game where the infra red images of you humping your partner is transferred to a shitty mini game just for the joy of you watching your avatar humping an NPC or something?

And if you want to shove something up your ass, at least have the decency to make sure it's not the family's gaming peripheral. Because it's unhygienic and, lets face it, awkward.

Hmm, on the link proving the game is really it showed the rating to... And was 12+

Ubisoft knows exactly the audience that will buy this game it seems.

I think it's fair to say most of the people in this thread are saying the whole idea of this game is bad. And those crying for bleach (brain or eye variety) are definitely claiming offence. People like eniac0 and myself are disagreeing with those suppositions: We're arguing the game's idea is fine, and while debates of quality (of game or ad) are fine, the premise behind it isn't something worthy of such attacks.

If think the real question is:

Why the hell did they make 9 different endings to the trailer?

...And Ubisoft wonders why they can only make money off their AAA titles. Soon after this comes out, I expect another stupidity-filled "ONLY AAA GAMES MAKE MONEY YOU CAN'T GET ANYWHERE MAKING SMALLER GAMES!" rant from them.

also, i do NOT want to habg out with the kind of people who would laugh at that kind of behaviour instead of just running towards the door, only to find that it's locked and then turn around to see the host/hostess sitting on the sofa with an evil look and offering them their wii remotes.... wait, what am i referenceing here again?? i don't know...
