Im american. Im a pacifist. And every who knows me says im the nicest guy they know.
But anyone who ruins other peoples happy time ON PURPOSE shouldent have the right to live, let alone play a video game.

Im sorry if that comes off as mean, but im a bit old school on my feeling. A**holes should die, nice people should live, and everyone should know theyer place in the world. Mine is with the rest of the mindless drones at midlevel sales.
As a non pacifist (I'm going into the Canadian Military) I want to say that I already like you. You're a pacifist, but you get it, not everyone has a mother theresa in them, or wants to unleash it.

This kid is a total doucher, seriously, who the fuck thinks it's ok to DoS people? It's not all that serious a crime, it's just a dick thing to do. My suggestion? Flogging. Just whip it out of him, if his parents had actually disciplined (or raised him right to begin with) the fucker then he wouldn't think it's ok to be a petty little douche.
Thank you. Im glad to see someone who thinks straight.

Just slapping his wrist and saying, "What you did was wrong", wont stop him from doing it again. People go to jail for 20 years for selling drugs, and the first thing they get out, they do it again.

If having all your freedoms and rights taken away doesnt change a person, what makes you think a small fine will do? People these days have bleeding hearts. And while i will only act out violance in selfdefence, im not above the idea of it. You have to look at other countrys. Such as North Korea. While id hate to use such an example, i have to. Crime in Korea is almost non-existant. Murder almost never happens, drunk driving is a myth, and drugs are in control.

While im not agreeing with all theyer methods, and im nt saying everything i do is right, im saying that when it comes to law, theyer way ahead of most other countrys. You cant threaten people with a free place to live, 3 meals a day, and cable TV.

Or I'd just like to hope my fellow human beings aren't breaking the law and ruining other people's gaming experience.
Then, surely, your superior sense of empathy with your fellow human beings allows you to understand how the tone and context of your actions might lead people toward conclusions that work against what you're actually trying to convey.

And because you are motivated to express this empathy, that would seem to make it likely you'd be willing to investigate ways in which you could work to prevent such miscommunication in the future.

Glad everyone's back on the same page. Maybe the world can get better.

To be fair, the meals and cable TV become a whole lot less attractive once you realize the amount of prison rape that is going to occur. He's 17, and probably a bit more nubile then previous "partners". I can see how one might consider that in bad taste, but I think it's the truth. That said, I more than see where you are coming from. With Korea, I mean, you'd have to expect them to get something right, and I'd hope of all things they at least get law enforcement and the maintenance of order!

Let's hope he is innocent.
Why are so many people angry at you for this? Is it so wrong to believe in "Innocent until proven otherwise." ? Seriously, this is getting way too far unwarranted. I know Pirate Kitty has a strong belief in anti-piracy and that this has infuriated many of you, but are you people seriously just trying to take everything that she says and make a shitstorm out of it? Let up, Escapists. I used to think that we were better than this, but the quality of this forum is going drastically downhill.

OT: I'm with Pirate Kitty on this. Wait until his day in court is done.
I wasn't angry (till she(he?) started putting words in to my mouth) I was genuinely confused

Kitty in the plainest way I can put it said:
"Let's hope he didn't do it."
That was my issue, at first at least since hoping that he didn't do it is basically saying:
"Let's hope that this is a stitch up", "Let's hope they made a mistake." or even "Let's hope they have the wrong person."
So I asked what the logic was behind such a statement since it doesn't make any sense,
Innocent until proven guilty doesn't even come into it.

Even if we assume that kitty meant was:
"let's hope he is found innocent."
Again why?
If he is in fact innocent he will likely go free no matter what we think,
If he isn't do we not want him to pay for his crime?
As I said in an earlier post either of these staments only make sense if you have a personal stake in the trial.

I was asking why we should "hope" one way or the other, and then kitty decides to declare that I have no sense of morality, that I desire to see a possibly innocent person to go to jail, the reason good sir that this became an argument is that this is typical of kitty's posting habits, were it not for me seeing a number of (god help me) rational posts from kitty I would have no qualms declaring her(him?) a rather blatant troll.

Random acusations, misquotes and condesending attitudes do not fly with me, and neither does passive-aggresion another in kitty's bag of tricks.

I'd ask that you read all posts in a disscusion and see what they are actually about before declaring all that dissagree to be pettily striking out over her(his?) opinions about piracy.

Im glad we have rights and freedoms, but theres need to be a line drawn.
Considering anyone with a wad of cash and no criminal record and walk into any gun store and purchase one ((after a meager 3 day waiting period in some places)) tells you that were a bit to lose with our freedoms.

Im fine with freedom of speech, and press, and the right to worship whatever talking cloud in the sky or flying spaghetti monster you want. Id even be fine with the right to bare arms if it were more closely monitered. ((monthly check ins at a local police station?)) But to just let people who commit crimes get off with a fine or a few months in prison? Thats not law or justice. Its just saying "You get off almost scott free".

I think the idea of "A fair trial" is crap to begin with. You cant pull random people off the street and expect them all to be free of any bias. I mean, look at all the criminals who get off because of "reasonable doubt" and a few emotional sobs. You can have a gun, bloody finger prints, and an eye witness that puts him there, and the dude could still get off because him mom says hes "a good boy and hes never done anything like this before." I mean, just look at OJ Simpson Trial.

I'm glad I play racing games. The community for GT-5 is so cool, and relaxed. Like someone previously said: It doesn't surprise me that someone on CoD is cheating.

This put a smile on my face. I'm not going to start reporting all the hackers I see to my local police department. I'm sure they're going to love me.

Geeze... We play online for not only the interaction of real people, but the challenge that they pose. If you do not want that challenge, play offline on easy mode, or get better at the game...

Could be a trial by fire.

Or a dunking stool.
It is actually almost unbelievable that they used to do that shit. Like, it blows my mind that at one point in our evolution as a people, we used someone's ability to resist a burn, to judge if they are guilty of a crime. I guess it was a religious thing.
It's not really that hard to believe, throughout the history of man (and even to this day) there have been numerous horrific and brutal acts committed for many reasons (some justified, some not), it should be no suprise to us by now that people can be downright evil when they want to be (as an Athiest/Agnostic it saddens me to say that stuff like this isn't always just limited to religious people).

Yes..... my eeeeevil plot to rule the world is starting to unfold MWAHAHAHA~! First i get the drones on my side, and then the queen of the hive shall bow to me HAHAHAH~!

But what i mean is, look back in our history. ((non-recent i mean))

What happened to A-hole in the middle ages? They were eather rich, and had power, or they were dead. You were behead for back talking people higher in the food chain then you. You couldent just act like a complete idiot, piss everyone off and get away with it. This formula worked for humans for thousands of years. ((farther back then i care to think)) Only recently has it become something we have to "Tolerate".

Bad cooking for lunch? Tolerable. Bad music on the radio? Tolerable.
Some 13 yearold jaggoff talking about rapeing our mothers? tolerable. But the moment you cross the line and begin to accually ruin people's days, is when it stops being "tolerable", and starts being, "Shoot me in the face for the good of mankind".
