I'm amused. The U.S. has a sexual assault rate per capita that's something like fifteen times that of Japan. Other nations in the UN have higher rates as well, yet we still feel superior enough to push resolutions like this on Japan?

You do know that japan most likely view woman as trash anyways, and woman don't want to tell what happen to them due to be dishonor or bringing shame to the family. Just because they say they have a lower assault rate, doesn't mean they don't have less then anyone else. Last post here.

Geh you all know my thoughts on censorship, I don't like Rapelay or what it stands for but I prefer they get that shit out of there system in a game than on the streets. Personally the U.N. should be looking into the molestation problems or the workplace problems.

If the UN really wants to go after something they should start going after the people who make the real life child porn and rape movies and books. Fantasy is just that fantasy these books/games are not teaching you how to rape step by step and they are not hurting anyone in fact I agree with the statements that they may actually be helping some people get out their agressions and fantasies without actually doing it in real life. I think that they are definitely not something you would sell or show to younger impressionable kids but if an adult wants to play or read it then so be it.

Censorship is not going to solve problems all it is doing is getting this industry more media and exposing more people to these games/books so they are basically just advertising it more then if they just left it alone.

Yes and that argument fails.
By that reasoning, we have absolutely NO need for television, video games, or the movie industry.

That logic implies that Video games are for unimaginative people who should just play pen and paper rpgs with dice.

It implies that there is no need to see a movie based on a book, because only unimaginative people would need to SEE a movie instead of just reading the book and being imaginative.

Hell, for that matter, why have books? Why not just release two page synopsis of the stories and let Imaginative people fill in the blanks of how the story could or should have gone?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending rape games or porn obsessions, but to say that the use of porn is strictly for unimaginative people is to completely obliterate the need for any FORM of ART. Why view a painting in a museum when you should be imaginative enough to visualize the emotion yourself?

I know of a small company that subs games and puts them on torrent sites... all these games are uniqe games that people in other countrys are too scared to make, japanese are the better people for making games like this, REAL games where you can do what you would normally never do, this is REAL entertainment.
