Hey, I've made some ambigrams too, although they're not quite as animated as yours :p

I like to go for walks in graveyards and make notes of particularly interesting epitaphs. My favorite thus far:

"We have received our passports to life from the friendly hand of death."

I've only recently started mine, but...

Resin model-building. What's more, anime resin model building. I had my start playing Warhammer when I was younger, and this is my attempt at something on a larger scale.

THAT'S THE COOLEST HOBBY EVER!!! O_O

OT: I don't think I have any uncommon hobbies. I'm a very boring person.

I'm into this really new thing called gaming. Bad jokes aside, my weird hobby is writing. Very few people do that in my school (not by choice anyway)

I make mock drafts for the NFL and NBA. I've got about a dozen for this years NFL draft alone. The only people who ever see/hear about them are my friends/family, but it gives me something to do.

And this is why I prefer working with vector-drawing rather than bitmaps :) You get a lot more freedom to tweak the curves, and none of the chunky pixellation.

Nice stuff - I think the last one (quoted) is the best for readability. I've never been much good with gothic script.

My capcha has a fucking umlaut in it.

I stopped doing it now, but I used to count how many letters were in the words I had just said.
I think that crosses the border somewhat between hobby and OCD...

I'm not sure I count this as a 'hobby', so to speak, but I spend an awful amount of my time trying to relieve Jordan of his trousers when he's trying to focus on something important...

...okay so that doesn't count, I just do it a lot and it's fun. Erm...

...fuck, I don't have any hobbies, unusual or otherwise. I'm so lame.

Sitting at the computer while slowly breaking eggshells into tiny pieces or ripping up the nearest piece of loose paper bit by bit. Just kidding, fiddling isn't really a hobby, and I don't do that a whole lot.

It's not a hobby yet, but I've been wanting to make a raft out of old plastic bottles, duct tape, and whatever else we see fit to stabilise it. I want it to be able to fit about three people on it comfortably, and we can row around canals obstructing the waterfront views of McMansions while sipping drinks and watching out for sharks. The thought of sharks only just occurred to me... >_<

I also want to make a record player out of a bicycle.

I like writing historical fiction. Used to do Tai Chi, a 'soft' martial art that us usually limited to old fogeys!

Currently, because I believe he should have had more than 99 days, wondering: what if Frederick III ruled for 99 months?

I design and build lego models. I have a very large collection back at home, but unfortunately, there's not really any room for lego in my dorm room, and I haven't really had time to build in a while. A shame really.

Heh, me too. I've got an almost finished and damn big battlecruiser standing around because all of my stuff is now at my grandparents' house which is a 4 hours drive away so I don't get to build very often.
Aw well, I've got Minecraft to make up for it at least...

And in the future I might have to add "paramedic" to my hobbies seeing as I won't have the time to do it full-time once uni starts in septembre. I hope that hobby's uncommon enough for your needs.
Do you have a flickr account? If you're who I think you are, believe I may already know you (online at least).
I do own one, but I seriously doubt it's me you know...

I collect bottle caps. Not alcohol ones, just J2O and Coke.

You never know when. Never.
Me and a bunch of friends do the same, except we collect all caps we come along. We also use them as credit in our poker games, started out that way because one of our friends did not want to play for money out of principal (and/or religious, not sure anymore) reasons and we wanted a persistent form of "currency" we could all obtain and use.

We're all in the 200-500 caps region now ^^

I remove labels from every new beverage I drink and keep them in my wallet. At this point I have what can only be described as a "Costnaza wallet."
