Next up, a videogame that teaches people how to respect the word "no" in sexual situations, and followed closely by something teaching them basic respect for other human beings.

Is there a section of the game that teaches them how to avoid being pressured into sex by their teachers?

Also why just the girls? I'm sure a few boys have been pressured into it by both girls and other boys.

It seems slightly creepy to me, what kind of "actions" do you need to perform to lose? and is someone filming it?

How is this going to be implemented? Are they going to put them in school sex-ed class? Are they going to try to sell them commercially? Either way they are both horrible ideas, this seems to me to be a waste of government funds.

To be honest if you're easily tricked into having sex then life in general is gonna be tough on you. I mean what is honestly so hard about saying no? I mean its not like people throw riddles at you.

Guy: "How about we play a game? My first is in windmill but not in canal"
Girl: "Um..."
Guy: "You got it wrong! Now you have to sleep with me!"

An absurd situation I know but that's the point. If someone asks you if you wanna have sex and you don't, there's a word for that.

Huh, and to think my government wastes the same amount on literature and education...

Is this actually such a huge problem in the US? I'm genuinely curious.

The silly piece of tech they slapped on that you needed to play with has severally narrowed down their potential buyers. Not to mention if a school wanted this it means they can?t have it going on multiple machines for multiple people due to the amount of money it will probably cost and space being a factor.

True to real world scenario and a game? They can try and I?m sure, there are some perfectly good simulators but I?m willing to bet this won?t be one of them. Especially since this aims to stop people having sex and even though this is a nice ideal it doesn?t quite work out like that in real life to begin with. Partially because not all sex is something people are pressured into or feel they have been.

Also someone might want to point out males are probably under about as much pressure to have sex as females.

So... if you get laid, you lose... and it's a virtual reality mo-cap thing... I see a version for boys coming out very soon and going very well. Nobody will ever win it, but it'll sell very well. Probably get it's own home edition.

It's a big problem where I am in Canada, but I was kind of hoping that was just where I came from...

"Hey look, Modern Warfare 3 is out!" - "Nah, I'd rather play Virgin the game, thanks"

Yeah, I can totally imagine that.
Now if they implemented this in Starcraft II...
"Commander Shepard, do you care for a quick sexual act in one of the Citadel's broom closets?"

Though I'm only a novice game designer, I'm fairly certain I am already able to make girls say no to sex.

Oh come on guys, it will be a fresh, hip, popping way to teach you to say "no" to sex! [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SarcasmMode]

...Oh god, I can't believe I type that..even if it was in jest. D:

Edit: I'm going to buy the game JUST, to see if I can get a bad score:

Havng sex
getting into a lesbian affair
getting into a illict teacher/student relationship

...Just joking though on all of that, it will be stupid to make a game that no one but strict parents will play.
On that note, I wonder if there WILL be lesbian situations, and if you get more negative points for them...

Please keep in mind, rest of the world, the South East is the taint of America.

I'd like to be the first to note the "fox news" logo on the bottom left hand.

And as for this, whatever happened to parents talking to their kids about sex, safe sex, and the magic word "no"?

*looks at post and draws back in supprise*

*scrolls up to look at picture*

I actually believe it could work, in these days of increasing amounts of sex in a girl's life, and video games on the rise it is a sure combo to win

First, let me say UNCANNY VALLEY!!

Second, how will they get people to play this?

They do realize that people can tell the difference between games and real life, and just because they make decisions in one doesn't mean it will carry over.

What an age we live in now where gaming can take over for that petty annoyance that some of us considered 'Parenting'.
You say that like this is a new development. The whole "Parents can't parent their own kids! We have to do it for them!" and "We can't parent our own kids! Someone do it for us!" thing has been on the rise for some time now, if I'm not mistaken.
I was comfortably aware of how little 'teaching and parenting' parents actually have to do nowadays, what with educational toys, TV shows that teach Spanish or sign-language.

Hell that's just leaving it in the present, in my day (The late 80's - early 90's) I learnt everything about basic morality from cartoons, I learned to read and write better by playing story-heavy video-games and everything I know about anything now days comes from what I read whilst sitting in front of a computer monitor...

But this is just a very sad look at where this kind of development is going to end up.
Kids and teens can't learn lessons like this from playing a video-game with scripted events, with only so many outcomes and variables. This will cripple a person if they take the lessons to heart and more than likely. Some people will.

People need parenting at an impressionable age, not educational games that will likely be ill-equipped to handle the matter.

Hmm.. While the purpose of the game is as stupid as any other PSA, the concept behind the game-play intrigues me.

Motion capture suits, hmm? Am I the only one thinking next-gen Mechwarrior?

I would play it the opposite way. I'd try to see how many dirty things I could do slipping on the skin of a pre-teen girl

Huh... well if it's actually made well, it could be good. About time we had something teaching teens not to give in to pressure instead of freely throwing out condoms and telling them to have fun. But if the game sucks, it'll do little good.
No its a really bad idea to let technology teach kids about life.

[HEADING=1] PARENTS NEED TO STOP LETTING THE GOVERNMENT OR OTHER FORMS OF MEDIA TEACH THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT SEX!!! [/HEADING]

Parents these days dont have the balls to talk to their kids about sex, drugs, and violence.

And it truly makes me sad. -_-
Well that's definitely true. I'd just rather schools teach teens to say no than hand out condoms. A lesser of two evils, but much, much lesser.
