Actually, I recall MADD and the local police force setting up a driving simulator at my highschool a number of years ago and you would play it while wearing those goggles that simulate being drunk. The idea was that everyone would see how dangerous it was to drink and drive, thus teaching us all a valuable lesson. Also, it was far more fun than it should have been.

I don't see this one working out that well. Their target audience won't care and their non-target audience will make the girls say yes just to see what happens.
yeah they came to my school to....beat the system though all the machine did was slowly delay the response between you and the screen just made movenments ahead of time.....and yeah thats probably what would happen with the sex thing

I have a feeling that if you asked that to these game designers, they would blink and say, "Huh? What do girls' opinions have to do with this?"
Sadly, I'm sure they would.

Surely the downside is that the seedy element will undoubtaly also get their hands on this software, giving them the knowledge to get young girls who've played this game to bed them! Creating a seedy elite of pre-teen super babies that will be bedding young women before they've learned to read!

Maybe not that extreme, but it's a point. Jus' saying.

This falls under one of those WTFH?!? things. Seriously, does anyone actually think this will do anything other than waste a large chunk of cash, and time?

What happens if someone says yes?
I don't like where this is going...
Oh don't worry, the female avatars have vagina dentata. Boys will learn to say no to sex as well as girls.
Or a better idea. There will be a specially scripted part towards the end of the game where the girl says no, and then gets beaten up, and then gets raped. You have the option of telling your parents what happened and calling the police, but no matter what happens, the ending will be her living a life of misery and regret until she decides to pull the trigger on herself, collapsing in a pool of her own blood as the letters spell out in blood, "The End."

You have to wear a motion capture suit to play this? Did I read that correctly? If it's coming out next year anyway, why not just save everyone the trouble of the stupid suit and put it on Kinect?

I thought it was a decent idea until I realized people are expected to pay for it. The hell? You don't pay for a PSA. In fact, while you would usually pay for (say) condoms, safe sex awareness campaigns will give them to you for free. What were they thinking?

There's an easier way to do these things.

Just explain the effects and consequences of sex, scientifically of course. Scientifically explaining things to people is almost a 100% full-proof way to make it less interesting and attractive.

Oh, and be sure to include several dozen (gruesome) uncensored pictures of people suffering from various STDs.

Aw man, I'll never be able to get any from young girls now that they're not susceptible to force/pressure.

Why is it just aimed at girls?

Believe me, they're every bit as bad when it comes to forcing guys into sex, it just depends on the person.
It's a conspiracy by Yaoi fangirls. They hope by teaching girls to avoid sex that men will become disillusioned with females and turn to other men for their sweet loving. They've tired of turning straight fictional males homosexual in crappy fan-fiction and have elevated their game to the next level. *glares at random female* I'm on to you...

What about guys? Guys are pressured into sex as well. In fact, there should be classes for guys to learn how to deal with peer pressure just as there are classes teaching women how to deal with it. This is sexism and nothing more.
Ah yes, if I could only undo all those times(read 0) as a teenage male I was pressured into having sex by voracious young women. If only I'd said no!!!

You want the honest truth, girls?

You can do that abstinence stuff and believe in a prince charming if you so choose, however realize that you are going to miss out on plenty of opportunities by withholding sex. Most men, like myself, will not wait until marriage simply because the expression of love can be had before that time with other lovely ladies. If I have the choice of being with someone I find sexually attractive who will have sex with me on, say, the fourth date and someone I find sexually attractive who will have sex with me only after marriage then it's a no brainer. The very first portion of a relationship is sexual attractiveness. I approach you or you approach me because either of us think the other is 'cute' or 'sexy'. Then the personality is the second biggest item.

In this day where plenty of girls are willing to have sex due to the breaking of an archaic mindset, why should I have to put up with a tease and possibly risk marrying someone simply to get affection?

Abstinence accounts, I'm sure, for plenty of divorces. Stop looking at sex as something holy and look at it as a natural way to express love....or just fun if you wish. *shrugs*

May not be a fairy-tale answer, but if you aren't going to have sex then you'll have a much harder time finding someone.

Dammit! They are not supposed to say no to sex! Ok, unless they are fat. Or ugly. Or under the age of 8 16.

(I know, I know. I'm terrible.)

Ok, I have to say that a video game is no way to teach your kids about sex. Just talking to them should be fine. And you shouldn't restrict them by saying it's WRONG or that GOD WILL HATE THEM. You just have to say that they should have sex when they feel that they are ready (and have reached a certain age, because sooner would just make it disturbing :S). Add that there is no shame in saying no and always remember to use that magic thingy called a condom (seriously, having a child before your 20s just sounds horrible to me).

Thats brilliant. Can I use that as my signature :D

OT: Parents are supposed to have this responsibility. Its a sure sign of peoples feelings towards changes in society when they think VIDEO GAMES have more sway over children than their parents.

...This could work.

Maria: See? *caresses James' face* I'm real...

The game freezes in place, and a text-box window suddenly appears.

Choice A: Succomb to Maria's flirtations; find a relatively clean room
Choice B: Mary!

*pause*

You chose Choice B

James: No! I have to find my wife!

*BLIP*
