Unfortunately, he's dead.

Now wait 14 seconds...

Another person just died.
Really, someone dieing isn't too crazy regardless of their abilities. He was old, and he died.
50 is hardly old.
Seriously, and a modicum of respect please guys. If people close to you pass on, I'd hardly be asking you to wait 14 seconds, would I?

And if you have to have a reason, there'd be no L4D without Thriller.

Wow. Just... wow.

I kinda feel for the guy. He has his respectability shattered by the lawsuits, gets seriously into debt, and just as he's getting his life back on track and planning on retiring, he dies.

On the one hand, he was the king of pop, a living legend, made some of the best music in the 80s and did a lot of god for charity and stuff...

...On the other hand, he porked 12 year olders as a part time hobby... So... Mixed feelings on this one.

Going with a sort of meta-Schröedinger's grief on this one. Both grieving and not grieving, depending, but you'll only see one of those when you look.

May he R.I.P.
I honestly believe that some people on this website are just too young to understand how Micheal Jackson really is one of the best musicians of the 80s and 90s. You just had to be there.

If someone here was close to him as a friend or family member, your 100% correct and I apologize for my comments and hope the best for them

However, I doubt that's the case on a video game magazine forum. So many people worship this guy for his "music" and don't care about the horrible things he did to children. You people need to get a life, really.

As for L4D, zombies existed before Thriller...

Overhyped of course, but RIP all the same, world wouldn't be quite the same without Micheal Jackson songs. Screwed up he may be, he did some good and some bad and he got noticed.
Otherwise indeed wouldn't be threads like this.

I sip my water and tip my hat to you dude.

I genuinely didn't think I would, but I actually feel bad. I've always seen Michael Jackson as two people, the cool, good looking black guy that sung great music, and the sad, mentally ill man who wanted to be like Peter Pan and be young forever. Both died today, and both will live forever.

R.I.P.

EDIT - that's unusually poetic. Sorry everyone. I'll get back to calling everyone cunts shortly.

I wasn't really a fan or follower of ol' Jacko, but I'm kinda upset by this...
May the afterlife hear his funky beats.

No, not really... Hitler pioneered the idea of interstate roads (autobahn), but I don't think he deserves any credit b/c he murdered 6 million Jews and thousands of Allied and Axis troops. So if you molest a child, I don't think your "contributions" should mean a thing, and in his case he got his punishment a bit late..
Hmm, it's hardly fair to compare Michael Jackson to Hitler. Granted, Jackson's antics in his later years weren't exactly a good thing, but really, it's not like you can really draw parallels between the issues that someone like MJ had to a figure like Hitler.

he made some amazing songs that I listen to almost everyday.
Good run MJ, minus the whole molestation shit you got caught up in...dumbass...
It's a shame...
I wonder how many songs of his are going to be illegally downloaded now?

Hmmm, I find this kind of funny and ironic because me and my friends were talking about celebraties we wanted to die (this is not a normal converstaion topic, but it just moved in that direction after listening to pointless awards being handed out by our principal for close to 2 hours) and Micheal Jackson just happened to be one of them.

Come on, Tim Allan and Madonna...

It was a bit extreme, but it was the only example I could think of right off the top of my head. My point is still valid though. For God's sake, I think that if you do something that horrible, you don't deserve any credit for anything good you've ever done. He ruined a CHILD, that's one of the worst things a human can do to another... Thriller doesn't make up for that... EVER
