The guy was bad (understatement) at his job, was outed on the internet at being bad at his job, and no longer has his job and unless he lies through his teeth/uses a different identity is not going to get a PR job again. Likewise he will have a tough time finding any job as a result of this, and any job he does get will likely be fairly undesirable. I can't be happy about that last part no matter how bad of a person he was as its worse than being a convicted felon who has served his time.

He wasn't threatened at all.
Krahulik has behaved appallingly and should accept respnsibility for the total overreaction that has occurred. Utterly shameful, but totally predictable. The internet makes it impossible for people to make mistakes and move on. I find that disgusting.
I'm not making e3xcuses for christoforo's behaviour either, he behaved badly. But to take that and copy paste it over the internet and then have some twat and his chums behave even worse is hardly mature. Penny Arcade has absolutely disgraced itself.

Ill put my marketing team on a smear campaign of you and your site and your emails , I have about 125 dedicated people to run PR , Blogs , Articles , Videos you have no clue who I am . Thanks again

Sounds like a threat to me. Though I seriously doubt his "company" is bigger than just him and his wife (who goes around SEO forums writing fake testimonials for Ocean, btw).

I feel really sorry for this guy's family, especially the wife and her newborn baby. If this guy really is a roid fueled douchebag, then someone should seriously offer the wife a quiet talk about spousal abuse and whether or not she's been exposed to it in the past or currently. These types of idiots don't put the blame on themselves for screwing up, but instead will lash out at anything weaker in an effort for them to retain their 'control', which is of course in reality totally non-existent. To say the least, the poor woman is not going to be having a very happy New Year, and that just plain sucks. His life didn't get ruined, he lost his job. At which he was shit in. No, not just shit, I can understand unpleasant people doing jobs half-heartedly - it's a fact of life - this is like an elephant with Parkinson's working in a china shop.

The mob is overreacting like it usually does, but so far they've damaged: a) his reputation as a legitimate PR manager, ho hi ho; b) his inbox.

As for the death threats to the family, the guy claimed in his apology-email to Dave that "he's been distressed over the recent overdose of a close acquaintance and because he's taking care of his wife and newborn son". Whether you choose to think these reasons excuse him or interpret them as yet another shield against taking responsibility is up to you. I would not be surprised if all of the above were made up, like most of Paul's credentials, website, connections and life in general, since he's shown himself to be really averse to accountability. The sheer amount of bullshit he kept spewing in those emails implies that he would say anything just to come out on top.

I am a grown-up who has seen personally the effects of what this guy is symptomatic of. I haven't once accused him of phycial abuse, but certainly from his emails, I wouldn't be surprised if he resorts to verbal abuse of his family. Just because you want to label me puerile for showing compassion for the man's wife who has by all the reports already been through more than her share of the hot coals doesn't make it any less serious. Maybe I pressed a button with you and a little anger management or a warm milk and a nap are past due.
