They're still releasing episodes. Very, very slowly.Ashbax said:jimBOFH said:Not to mention that they still haven't finished HL2.Ashbax said:valve took ten years to make TF2.Doug said:I wouldn't be surprised if this where true (at time of writing, unconfirmed) - after all, 12 years and only a few cutscene videos out of the damned thing - Oh, and an apparent play of it by that Jason Hall.
Anywho, if true, at least the IP might go to a company that can actually deliver a product inside of 10 years Valve, for example.
Still, that's marginally better than Blizzard, right?
...What the hell are you on about? HL2 was released in 2004...
Yeah, but they are still doing the episodes which are technically a part of HL2, as well as technically HL3.Ashbax said:jimBOFH said:Not to mention that they still haven't finished HL2.Ashbax said:valve took ten years to make TF2.Doug said:I wouldn't be surprised if this where true (at time of writing, unconfirmed) - after all, 12 years and only a few cutscene videos out of the damned thing - Oh, and an apparent play of it by that Jason Hall.

I don't think I want Valve taking on Duke Nukem. Nothing against Valve, but their style just doesn't seem to fit the Duke I grew up w/.Doug said:I wouldn't be surprised if this where true (at time of writing, unconfirmed) - after all, 12 years and only a few cutscene videos out of the damned thing - Oh, and an apparent play of it by that Jason Hall.

How about Double Fine? Their games are always good for a laugh.joystickjunki3 said:... maybe Rare? Maybe even Bungie or Epic? I think those studios are better equipped to handle the title.
Also not a bad choice. How about Insomniac or Naughty Dog?SilentHunter7 said:How about Double Fine? Their games are always good for a laugh.joystickjunki3 said:... maybe Rare? Maybe even Bungie or Epic? I think those studios are better equipped to handle the title.
