Anywho, if true, at least the IP might go to a company that can actually deliver a product inside of 10 years Valve, for example.
That'll be the sequel.Jandau said:I guess now we can start calling it Duke Nukem Never...
Anything but Epic, they'd turn DNF into some stupid tournament thing and lose the pigcops. I see Rare keeping the Duke Nukem canon intact.joystickjunki3 said:I don't think I want Valve taking on Duke Nukem. Nothing against Valve, but their style just doesn't seem to fit the Duke I grew up w/.
... maybe Rare? Maybe even Bungie or Epic? I think those studios are better equipped to handle the title.
Duke Nukem Trilogy is NOT Duke Nukem Forever. From what I understand DN Trilogy was the original Duke Nukem 3D and the two console games that followed somewhat updated for today's crowd, probably for XBox Live and PS Online. Since that's being developed by outside 3D Realms, it will most likely still happen and we'll still get some Duke Nukem intake. Albeit it will be ashes compared to what-coulda-been.gmer412 said:So... DNF could possibly come out at some point? The project hasn't been canceled? Then the vaporware peasants have a king once more, one more senior than any of them could ever hope to be. Will it ever be made? Only time will tell. So, basically no.
The documents discovered will "hit a major milestone".Pi_Fighter said:Now all that remains is for historians to attempt to discover what exactly they were doing all this time.
To be completely honest, I never played Duke Nuke'm in the first place, so I'm not familar with it.joystickjunki3 said:I don't think I want Valve taking on Duke Nukem. Fair enough. I first played Duke Nukem 2 on the PC in school. Then I convinced my mom to pick me up a copy of Duke Nukem 3D for the Saturn back in the day.Doug said:To be completely honest, I never played Duke Nuke'm in the first place, so I'm not familar with it.joystickjunki3 said:I don't think I want Valve taking on Duke Nukem. Alright, I see your point. I still think Bungie could do some good w/ the series, but Rare is still my first choice.samsonguy920 said:Anything but Epic, they'd turn DNF into some stupid tournament thing and lose the pigcops. Indeedie! Of course, the big problem with DNF is this:joystickjunki3 said:Fair enough. I first played Duke Nukem 2 on the PC in school. Great games if you're into pop culture references, humorous misogyny, action, violence and tits.

I would agree except that I believe that most reviewers (maybe even Yahtzee), and even some forum posters, might cut some slack to whoever (if anyone) picks up DNF. Simply because it would not have been <company X's> fault it took longer than Jesus to show up. But your point is not w/o merit.Doug said:Indeedie!
