He did cosy up to NK last time, IIRC.
Ah, the Korea that isn't occupied. We do love our Juche, don't we folks?

So in other words Trump is fine with Russia violently expanding into, and ethnically cleansing eastern Europe. The ''whatever reason'' is funny since the moment you look at what Russia does to neighbors that don't have protection against Russia is plenty of reason enough to keep it contained already.
for sure, Kazakhstan and Mongolia are just having such a hard time. Or maybe it's more complicated than your cartoon caricature understanding of geopolitics.

Mongolia is playing Russia and China against each other to retain independence.

But Khasakhstan ? It has had Russian troops to prop up a pupped as late as Jan. 2022 and is since then desperately trying to not end up as second Belarus.

"The US doesn't attack middle Eastern countries, look, Saudi Arabia and Israel are doing just fine!"

A pattern of repeated vile behavior throughout Russian history and Putin seemingly defining his foreign goals with following this pattern is hardly “complicated” or a “caricature”. It’s just Russia doing what it’s always done, except this time NATO just happened to stand in the way.

But the most likely explanation, that's super depressing, is that Trump really just admire Putin and just want... I dunno... to be his friend or something?
Or the allegations that he'd been recruited by the KGB under the codename "Krasnov" back in the 80s are true and he is just actually, genuinely working to benefit Russia first and foremost.

Will Musk fire Trump if it doesn't answer?
Of course not, his power derives entirely from his hand being firmly up Trump's backside. One of those "every accusation is a confession" moments is watching Musk and his kid in the Oval Office while Trump sits there looking defeated and remembering all the talk of Biden being a puppet and Biden's handlers and treating Harris as primarily responsible for Biden-era policy during the election.

As people have probably already heard, Elon Musk sent an email to 2 million federal employees last week through the Office of Personnel Management, saying they needed to list 5 accomplishments from the prior week by the end of today (Monday 24th). He then said that failing to reply would be taken as resignation.

The Pentagon, State Department, Justice Department, FBI, NIH, Energy Department, DHS, HHS, Office of the DNI, NOAA and NSA all instructed their staff that they either shouldn't respond to it, or didn't need to respond to it. Dept of Transport said staff should respond. Lawyers have sued in federal court in California.

Will be interesting to see if anything actually happens, or if this was all just some pathetic kind of performative theatre. I suspect the latter... or that Musk will pretend it was just theatre when non-compliance is overwhelming.
