i dont see why everyone is complaining.
i hate having to wait YEARS for the next game in a good franchise to come out.
i got more than my 60 USD worth of left4dead. and im looking forward to left4dead2!
valve has not been known to disapoint. i trust they know what there doing.
oh and if you think its too soon DONT FUCKING BUY IT WHEN IT COMES OUT! wait a few more years until you think its the apropriate time and have fun buying it for 20 USD. everyone wins. you get to pay less for it and i get to play left4dead4 when you pick up left4dead2

This is why Valve is brilliant. Most company's wouldn't give a shit (the boycott is a very small minority of the overall market, plus I imagine many of them will buy the game anyway). It just shows how focused Valve are on not only making great games, but having a great public image too.
If you don't like a game, don't play it.

On-topic, I can't believe that people are still boycotting L4D2 after the leaders of the boycott said it was fine.
To be honest, I was a bit miffed with the first L4D because it felt like an incomplete game that they rushed out for the holidays. They have since released a free expansion that filled it in, so no hard feelings.
I played L4D2 at PAX, and I had so much god damn fun playing it. The level layout seemed much more interesting and made for better game play. It went from a "maybe" to a "must have." I just hope it's a complete game from day one this time around!

It's also funny how the boycott group probably thought that the leaders were stubborn enough to not admit that they'd wasted 6 months of their lives raging against a game they hadn't even played.
My point being that, even though I'm not of the mindset that you should reward loudmouthed whiners, Valve did pull a good move in giving the heads of the movement a tour to prove they weren't slacking off or directly after people's money, and let them go back to the group to have them destroy one-another from within.

I mean you could have flown them over and not pay for the trip back, leaving them stranded for awhile and then maybe they'll have something legit to complain about.
