I'm getting concerned that Valve is walking the same path as Cyan Worlds:
A brilliant and creative game studio that launches a massively popular title (Myst/Half-Life), raises up a devoted fan base, takes forever to make the sequels, and then lapses back into obscurity, only making money on side-projects (Cyan: iPhone games, Valve: Steam).
Of course, for that analogy to work Valve would have to actually make Half-Life 3, because at least before Cyan dropped off the map they finished their damn story-arc!
