Eh. If I want to play portal in 3d, I can just turn on 3d support at the driver level on the PC.
No big loss there. I honestly don't see why companies make this big mess about 3D. I mean, sure, if you thought about it, you'd need to be careful with certain kinds of graphical elements and level design, but it still amounts to something you can turn on and off at the flick of a switch in ANY game (well, not one that's 2d by nature, but still.)
