Can't you already use Steam on Macs with their new bootcamp feature (I haven't been able to use this feature, since my experience with Macs is limited to the classroom)? I'd think that would undermine the point of adding Mac support.

Boot Camp is just a utility for installing Windows on a Mac, since Macs use Intel's EFI boot firmware, instead of BIOS. Once Windows is installed, you can choose to boot either into Windows or Mac OS, and once yer in Windows, the mac works just like any other Windows computer (including running everything at native speed).

Far too many still believe Boot Camp to be an emulation environment. Basically, Macs run Windows, just like any other PC, with full functionality and speed.

EDIT: That's also a "yes, they certainly can" ;-)

Gaming news for Mac just isn't as exciting these days, since most Mac gamers just reboot into Windows to play games. Though the increased number of releases for Mac shows a tremendous increase in support for Mac OS X as an operating system.

Marketing departments do not make games.
Bbbbut it's more fun to assume that every person in a company should be working on [insert popular game series here].

Always interesting to see the creative ways they waste time they could be better spending making Episode 3.

can we get these in 1920*1080? I want them for wallpapers, specially the "I'm a PC" and the heavy one.

Favorite is the Heavy one. I just laughed my ass off when I saw that.
Good thing for Mac owners, now they can finally play some fun games!

I love the subtle jab at macs in the "I'm a mac, I'm a pc" picture.

For those who didn't get it, they compare Mac's to Portal's gun turrets, and PC's to the TF2's Engineer's Sentry. Portal's gun turrets have a sleek design, and look way more advanced... But they have limited firepower, are easily destroyed by being tilted, and can only fire in a straight line. The TF2 Sentry can rotate 180 degrees, does a lot more damage and survives a lot more.
Not to mention it can be upgraded a couple more times to make it even stronger, faster, and better :p

Better question, how do you use all the alt-fire options when you can't right click. Snipers would have to get huntsmen automatically, probably in an aesthetically pleasing composite fiberglass frame with a muted earthtone color schematic.

Jokes aside, part of me wants this to be an epic trolling on Valve's part but on the other hand the other part of me already thinks they've succeeded with that turret parody of the "I'm a Mac" ads, as others have pointed out.

EDIT: I know Mac users do have options that let them use two-button mice now, but I still find the joke apt enough given their steadfast devotion to the one-button system up until the 21st century.

Possibly with the two-button mouse that Macs have been coming with for several years now? :p

See my edit. Also if Apple hadn't pretended they'd invented the whole concept when they first came out, I'd be less inclined to joke about it.
