I want a wallpaper version of that "i'm a PC" image.
Ditto. Maybe they'll release them once the official announcement is made.

Better question, how do you use all the alt-fire options when you can't right click (bwa-hahaha)
Possibly with the two-button mouse that Macs have been coming with for several years now? :p
Except they don't have a "two-button mouse." They have a one-button mouse with a multi-touch pad in it; the pad senses which finger(s) you've got touching the top when you click to emulate right clicks. And while this lets you do awesome stuff like horizontal scrolling and (if you have the newest model) pinch-zooming, it also means you can't hold down one "button" while clicking the other; it'll register as either just a left-click or a right-click depending on which hand you're using.

And don't some of TF2's alt-fires require you to be able to do that? Particularly the Huntsman; to cancel the shot you have to right-click while your left button is still held down. And the Minigun; to spin it up ahead of time you hold down the right button, then add the left when you want to fire. You might be able to do one of those with Apple's mouse (I forget which), but not both. And don't even get me started on how you're supposed to switch weapons well with a mouse that doesn't scroll in increments. Or middle-click ... is it even possible to middle-click with an Apple mouse at all?

Of course, it's probably a moot point because anyone who buys a Mac for gaming will probably just go out and get a five-button gaming mouse like everyone else who's serious about video games. Yeeeeeeaaaah.

All in all this is awesome news. But boy howdy, if it turns out this is what all that stuff in Portal was actually teasing, and not actually a new game of some kind (at this point I don't care what game or games), I swear to Crysis I... I... actually I don't know what I'll do. Probably go cry in the corner again.

What the fuck is Valve doing?
I mean, I'm not angry, but I can't tell what it is that they're doing anymore.
I mean, it was much simpler to believe all they were doing was designing hats for TF2 and delaying Episode 3, but now we have Portal 2 teasers, Mac ads, and god knows what other shit will come.

I'm so excited for this. I have a Mac dual booting windows, so I don't get to play TF2 very often, but hopefully now I will

I think Gordon looks pretty cool in white.

It's nice to see Valve get on the ball and work on Mac support and they have some cool mac ad spoofs here too.

I am wondering why everyone is complaining about new players on TF2. You all feel threatened? I mean, if they are "noobs" then you can just kill them easy right?

You know, just putting it out there. There are people in this world who are into games and like Macs. It's not a paradox. It's not how I would do things but then I can't tell people what to do. I think it's a good move. Might actually destroy this divide we have between PC and Macs and eventually find some common ground in which to stop stupid adverts.

Also, iGordon looks awesome.

This is great, but I've been using windows on my mac for years. Good to see I can play it without switching OS now :D

I love the subtle jab at macs in the "I'm a mac, I'm a pc" picture.

For those who didn't get it, they compare Mac's to Portal's gun turrets, and PC's to the TF2's Engineer's Sentry. Portal's gun turrets have a sleek design, and look way more advanced... But they have limited firepower, are easily destroyed by being tilted, and can only fire in a straight line. The TF2 Sentry can rotate 180 degrees, does a lot more damage and survives a lot more.
You forgot to mention it can be upgraded.

For those, who complain about the company wasting its time:

Did it ever occur to you that this increased marketing activity can has something to do with that they had a looong period of absolute silence about the HL/Portal universe. Like... (gasp) ... announcing the sequel to both Portal and HL2?

Anyone else notice how in a white HEV suit Gordon looks a bit like a Stormtrooper from Star Wars?
Don't ya mean the iHEV? But ya, looking at in those colors, does have many similar angles to it.

That last bit with Alyx throwing the crowbar at Big Brother Breen(see what I did there?) makes me wish they did that as a Super Bowl commercial. Seeing that in action would be frakkin AWESOME!

This makes me realize how Mac-like GlaDOS looks. Maybe this is what portends the end!

Sorry, I just get annoyed at people saying Mac is bad because it's not a good gaming platform, as if it's Apple's fault. If more companies, like Valve, went multiplatform, Mac would be just as valid as PC. This looks to be a pretty big step in that direction.
You sir deserve a cookie! :D
Mac not being a good gaming platform has nothing to do with developers.

OSX is a valid platform for gaming. Its just because its user-base is significantly smaller than that of Windows its not as viable a format as profits will be much lower. Its not the developers fault, or Apples for that matter...
