Demon's Souls: The huge tower shield guy raped me tons of time and I lay down a "help me" note and just went all out got healed every few seconds and won.

or WoW when we had 8 people left in our 25 man raid on lich king and we won. 3 DK's army of undead, 2 holy pallies, 1 Boomkin, 1 enhance shammy, and me the warrior tank. The ventrilo channel went ballistic.

Facing a Super-Mutant Behemoth in Fallout 3...

I was about to die so I thought "Might as well take this bastard with me... In a Fiery Nuclear Inferno!!!"

So I whipped out the... umm... that special Fat Man (Damnit what's it called!!!), entered VATS when he was about a foot in front of me and fired away...

At the time I didn't know that in VATS you were temporarily invincible...

Playing Magic at an FNM event, I played a Spikeshot Elder (Costs 1 Red, 1/1, not that strong) that has the ability to deal damage equal to its power without attack if I pay RR1 mana (that's 2 Red, 1 other). After giving it a shit-load of equipment making it a 7/7 creature, opponent on 12 health, I asked one of the officials if I was able to pay for the ability twice. He said yes. Instant win.

There is an octopus boss in the seriously underrated "3D Dot Game Heroes" where you can take the extendo version of any sword and stand in the front right corner, swiping at his face at range.

One of the hardest boss battles in the game if done normally.

Jedi Knight 2: outcast

Dessan, the mighty Sithlord endboss (skip to 1.05m for the fight)

there actually was an even easier way, by running straight at him, then do a forward roll-and-thrust with your lightsaber and he went down right away! at least i think that was him or was that from another JK game i wonder?

p.s If Jedi pvp combat in KOTOR wont be as dynamic as in this vid, then it WILL SUCK!!

Armored core 2 another age the final boss is so hard that made just for Japanese people. Though only way a lowy westerner can defeat him is lure him to the edge of the boss battle area jump up wait for him to go underneath you and stand on top of him and keep firing whilst trying stay atop of him.

Not a time when it took tons of tries, it was actually first try, whatever.

In Batman: Arkham Asylum, the second time you encounter Zsasz.

As soon as it gets out of the cutscene throw a remote-controlled Batarang at his face.

FLAWLESS VICTORY.

same thing happened to me

OT: i was playing that quest where you kill the nade spamming rancor on Borderlands, he was level 13 and i was level 8 at the time, and i managed to somehow get him trapped against a wall where he couldn't move, then i just threw the falcon at him repeatedly

when i was playing FFVIII for the first time, i had no idea what to do, at the time i didnt knew nearly as much english as i do now, so i wasnt aware that i could summon GF´s (i followed the junction system by doing what the tutorial showed me, but i had no idea what i was doing)

so the first GF you fight, i wasnt able to kill it for a month, untill i thought, whats that GF command!?

and i called "shiva"

yeah... i felt preety stupid, i was trying to "grind" my lvls to kill him, and we all know that doesnt work in Final Fantasy :p

In he very first episode of Sam & Max, shooting cheese with your gun to make it look like Swiss cheese, so you could give it to Jimmy Two-Teeth.

Mines was Final Fantasy 7's Materia Keeper. I was only 13 when i fought him and did not understand the finer mechanics of the game. I was all about power and i did not grind. I died 6 times even when i used limit breaks and i had everyone's limit break to at least 3

I finally began experimenting with aeris limit break because i figure i was going to lose since i lost since cloud was dead. I used the sealing evil limit break and was absolutely stunned when i found out it froze the boss in place for several turns. i managed to revive cloud and get off a big shot from barret to finish the boss off. I managed to almost limp over to a save point when i was killed but random spawn monsters.

This is a bit of an unusual one, but MGS3 the battle with 'The End' which isn't amazingly hard, but certainly provides a challenge on higher difficulties, can be entirely bypassed by sniping him in his wheelchair just after a cut-scene earlier on in the game.

I wouldn't recommend it though because it's such an entertaining boss fight and you don't get his gun after you beat him.

Not only that but you can set your time ahead, I think a week will do, and he'll die from old age.

As for me. Pretty much any game that lets you use a car and sticky explosives. I can't help but strap a few to it and explode it after I leap out. Usually works. Also, I've blown up a helicopter in Just Cause 2 only to have it land on a Commander, talk about dumb luck. Though equally as fun is running around the Japenese General and letting his own satellite strikes kill him.

and though it's not something I've ever done myself. I'm still shocked by Loop Zooking.

I just realized I have 2 more!

Shin Megami Tensai,Devil survivor:
There was one fight against a mob of crooked cops and a Light Yagami Wannabe where I had to kill his giant evil demon WITHOUT killing him. So I end up rushing the boss with the nerd character (who oddly enough was my physical hitter), and this is what happened:

I attack, boss does an AOE fire spell which kills one of my demons, hurts the nerd for a whole lot, and nearly kills my cockatrice. My cockatrice attacks the boss. The boss gets affected by the STONE status effect, which is a rare effect that my cockatrice can do. The nerd goes right after and hits the boss with a skill that has a 50% chance of doing a critical, or missing. ...The critical hit lands. Since I landed a critical hit on a "stoned" enemy, it kills him instantly (he breaks into pieces). I blinked and said out loud "Wait...did I just kill this boss in ONE TURN?!?"

Most bosses are IMMUNE to statuses, period! And this one guy wasn't, which allowed me to totally wreck his day.

And from Deus Ex:
On the carrier plane not too far into the game, you have the choice to either murder a prime resistance leader, or let your partner kill him, or kill your partner yourself to get all the info from the leader.

I could not kill my partner, since she was WAAAAY too strong. So I thought...Huh...she always runs in from this one hallway...what if I just stick a mine to the wall? And I did, and then when she was supposed to run in, on cue....BOOM. One hit kill, very big mess.
