I like how the first couple of responses on the linked thread were instructions on how to delete them, rather than just poking fun.
+10 faith in humanity.

Bwah ha ha ha! Oh man, reading this article made me laugh so hard that I am actually still laughing as I type this several minutes later (that there is use of BBCode and a distinct lack of typos in this post is evidence more of my awesome typing skills than exaggeration of the deep belly laughs I have going on right now). I am indeed quite curious exactly why the software takes pictures of you now, thanks a lot Funk.

I would think that the option to not take pictures of you while dancing WOULD BE THE DEFAULT SETTING, seeing how its a huge invasion of privacy if those pictures ever got out.

Imagine if you let the cable tech into your house and he started taking pictures. You'd toss him out.

I would die of laughter if it was supposed to be like that to get a visual confirmation on people who Pirate illegal copy of Dance Central, or to gather marketing information about the users to see how many of them are sad and obese, or to prevent people from "stealing some other person's kinect... Or something as absurd...

Man I am really cynical, am I not?

I'm not sure about Dance Central, since I didn't buy that... but on Adventures and Sports, it doesn't automatically upload photos. It takes them and saves them, but you have to choose yourself to upload anything. And there are ways to turn off picture taking in the games, and at least in Adventures and Sports, there's ways to delete them as well, with Sports automatically deleting them unless you choose to upload.

Surely they ask if you want the photos uploaded before they actually do it, right?

RIGHT?

Re: How Do I DELETE the Picutres Taken During Dance?

If you send them to me, I can find which ones they are by the file name and delete them from the database servers. I work at Harmonics, so you'll be fine.
Hah hah... classic - go internet ^_^

Brilliant.

So you play a game and so long as it's connected to the internet it takes and publishes photos to the community. The only way to get the pictures removed is to start a thread and hope someone with access to the database randomly passes by and offers help?

No thanks. What the hell were harmonix thinking? you should have to at least choose which pictures you want to upload. Naked or not that was a stupid, stupid idea.

This is why I never want anything to do something for me without my permission.

I really want someone to sue Microsoft and Google over this and location based search.

I don't want localized results damn it!

Microsoft is making millions taking pictures of your living room or bedroom and selling them to data collection companies.

You can drop the "naked" part from the headline and just say "Warning: Don't Play Dance Central." Same effect really. Naked pictures of yourself is just icing on the poo-flavored cake of listening to bad music and moving around like you're some kind of mentally challenged monkey while thinking that crap you're doing is dancing.
You might not like it, but their are 6 Billion(?) more people in this world, and quite a few are bound to like them.
Add to that the fact that most (all?) gaming sites are declaring Dance Central to be the one must buy title if you do buy Kinect.

"xBox! Delete my naked dance photos."

"xBox... can you hear me?"

"xBox... why aren't you responding."

"xBox... please respond."

"I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that."
