I cant stop laughing and imagining the game recognizing a "third arm" in the party xD

I know its also fucking retard the game taking pictures withouth asking the user if he would like it to take pictures in the future or not.

This is crap. I HATE opt outs, instead of opt ins. It pisses me off when I have to be extra careful to uncheck the options to install google/bing toolbars. And this is in the same category.

Well I wasn't going to even get Dance Central, let alone dance naked for it, but thanks for the heads-up, I guess. Well that's one less game I can play without clothes.

And I thought SecuROM on the PC was bad... now the X-Box has a device that can take pictures of you against your knowledge or consent!

Didn't ENN cover this a year ago where the Wii took videos of you for a wacky Japanese game show? I'm sorry, but satire has to evolve if you want it to be funny a second time. And the idea of the console taking pictures without your express permission is just... it's an unthinkable invasion of the sanctity of one's home; I'd have a hard time just believing something like that was legal. Noone would really program that into a console.
I refuse to accept this. My suspension of disbelief is shattered at reading something so daft.

Microsoft is making millions taking pictures of your living room or bedroom and selling them to data collection companies.
That's certainly a huge potential market for data collection. I mean, what type of data isn't collected and sold these days?

So basically a gaming device with a crapload of cameras in it takes pictures of you and stores them...

In other news: People can see stuff you post on sites life Facebook!!

Filed under: Common fucking sense. It always amazes me how people don't understand how technology works.

how is that common sense?
it is supposed to be a Sensor... not a recorder.

'Kenect Sensor Peripheral' coming with 'Motion Capture, Facial recognition, voice recognition' abilities.

no where in its description does it state 'Video Recording Device'

you don't expect Bar-code scanners to be taking snapshots do you?
i mean, they too are Cameras...

further more, Common Sense would dictate that to take pictures one would have to Activate the capability... not that the device randomly takes pictures even when unprompted to do so.

How long until someone makes a Chatroulette application for Kinect? It would sell like gangbusters.
