Invite some attractive people over to play, leave the room to give them privacy. Turn the heat up to full. Hehehehe~

So basically a gaming device with a crapload of cameras in it takes pictures of you and stores them...

Yeah, isn't taking pictures of you when your not aware of it and uploading them to godknowswhat illegal?

Maybe.

I say this because I used to work for a Casino where the entire place was wired, and we had an entire department that would set up extra cameras in various places to catch people doing things.

Technically the fact that we do things like this is posted, and covered in the hiring paperwork, but youd be surprised how many people don't even notice it, especially patrons coming in. A lot also assume it means only at the gaming tables and other odd things.

If the paperwork for the system has that bit mentioned somewhere in one of the books, the company is probably going to be covered from any kind of legal action, either criminal or legal.

It's all supposition, but I'd imagine they covered themselves as best they could if the system does this. Not noticing the sign, or reading your employee orientation paperwork or whatever doesn't excuse your ignorance where I used to work, nor do assumptions about what you thought it meant. This is especially relevent if say an employee is dipping into a till or whatever and some tech sets a camera specifically based on that suspician and catches them. That kind of thing happened where I worked, and yes it does stick.

To be entirely honest my actual thoughts here are that this feature and this system is actually going to encourage people to use it to take naked pictures of themselves.

From what I'm reading I'm not 100% sure if these pictures are uploaded or not, I'd guess "no" since not seeing what could happen with this seems like an extreme oversight, but if there is any potential at all for someone to say "accidently" expose themselves to children or whatever, I'd say it's going to be used for that.

If the pictures can be shared privatly, especially through anonymous channels account to account I think this is going to be a big thing for "camwhores", which is actually the first thought I had when reading this (before the paragraph above this one). Right now I'm wondering how many Kinects are going to be showing up on Amazon wish-lists, and purchused for girls by guys hundreds or even thousands of miles away. I think naked dance central pix, especially slideshows, are going to be a big thing for certain people.

But then again I've also been told I have an unusually warped mind.

Who WOULDN'T play that game naked? That's gotta be the most obvious oversight ever. That being said, if I ever get Kinect and dance central that'll be the first thing I do, automatic pictures or no.

Naked revolution!

The bizarre twist is, these pictures will eventually appear in a bonus stage of Child of Eden. Unlock it at your peril!
Lolcopter.
Note about the escapists; mods here will set you on the ban-wagon (likely starting with probation) for having content-less one word posts like this. Add some conversational content to your post, or risk your account. (I am not a mod. I've just seen it happen. Lots.)
Well, if you say so. I simply found a funny post that I wanted the poster to know I thought was amusing. If single word replies of praise for another's post get you banned, then so be it. Yes, yes, I could have put a longer sentence, or even a few, but you don't always want to convey lavish praise, that would be needlessly sycophantic. Have a good one.
It's conversational merit that the mods are concerned about. The banning stages here are stepped. Like I said, your would likely be probation. That's like a 3-day thing. Or maybe the mods would just warn you with a message and delete the post. It depends. It keeps the forums from being like others in that there is at least some conversational merit to them. I personally like that. :)

Thought you might want a heads up. Perhaps spending more than 2 seconds on a post to make the entry more topical. But if you're cool with something that's all in your hands getting you removed from the community, then later hun. :)
You really should try and become a moderator. You seem to care a great deal. I will be sure to, now that I have been admonished to describe any amusement at hilarious posts with a dense description of my emotional state, the merits of the post my state is concerned with, and perhaps with an attached essay. Let us not become pedants, guardians of complete sentences or too fixated on forum matters.

Also, and more relevant, the taking of pictures anonymously this forum pertains to, is an astounding step backwards for notions of privacy in the home and privacy during leisure activities.
