Wow, I actually remember that show. I don't know how I feel about that.

OT: Resident Evil has canon? How the hell can anyone follow Resident Evil's canon?

If console players can understand Resident Evil's canon, why the hell does everyone think they're stupid? You'd need to be a genius to make sense of that mess.

Sooo...

Dante goes Emo
Frank West goes FAT
Leon goes dead

Alright I am calling it, capcom is officially dead to me until they get their heads together, sort themselves out and start making games that have some degree of semblance to the canon that they have established for their series for the last 15 years or so, instead of loaning out their IPs to hairbrained subsidiary devs with no respect for the story on which the universe they are ruining was built!

Am I raging too much or should I be reaching the levels of insanity wolf?

Resident Evil did have a moderately decent canon once. Somewhere around RE 4 however, a decision was made to completely abandon the story and basically do whatever it takes to sell more copies (Chris Redfield and his sudden steroid body is an example...actually, the entirety of RE 5 is a prime example).

OT: There's no way Leon could die. Unless this is an alternate universe sort of thing or he's just in the trailer to give fans something to squeal over.

Im liking the Idea, seems like it can be a lot of fun, and whats wrong with faceless with no personality, Hunk is one of the most popular character in the series and his a faceless badass with no personality. Anda that how I imagine elite specials forces faceless, cold and badass

Prediction: the characters will routinely engage in scripted conversations throughout the game, and you have to sit through it every time you want to replay, until you can recite their dialogue in your sleep and you want to die.

And why does Capcom struggle to maintain canon?

It would be pretty cool if they had killstreaks, but you summon BOWs into the match. That would be nuts.

I like the idea of a four-player co-op Resident Evil game. That has a lot of promise. But do I have to play as a heartless murderer that can kill Leon? That makes me want to avoid this game. And really, why are we trying to kill all the cops? Did I miss something? You'd think Umbrella would have bigger things to worry about than a ROOKIE cop who's on his first day of the job. Keep in mind that Leon is not yet the ace that we all know and love at this point in the storyline

Now... Left 4 Dead in third person but with probably less storyline and characterization.
Is that humanly possible? I mean, Left 4 Dead was bare-bones-basics in the story department.

I don't know what to think of this game...Being able to beat zombies at close quarters doesn't really sit well with me, but if there are alot then it shouldn't matter. Coop and the 3-way competative multiplayer sound fun.

If I ever get this, then I'm deffinitely playing as Stealthy McStealtherson.

Is this a franchise reboot or an alternate universe thing like we see in comic books where they mimic past storylines and then deviate...

Also, wtf is with all this blue goggle genocide...couldn't they have done something with the UBCS guys? That way the storyline wouldn't have to get too muddled...what am I saying, this is resident evil...

Yeah this essentially just killed any interest I had in this game at this point. I personally don't really enjoy the whole "Murder the heroes" scenario, especially since at this point old Leon is the underdog and to have made it this far he's had to have been through a lot. I never have enjoyed the "murder the heroes" scenario though, whether it's a "what if" or not.

Yes she does, but she kills them with Bio-organic "Veapons"

On topic, I like playing as the bad guy, but can't I kill the other characters? I actually like the ones in 2...

That video didn't exactly convince me to get the game. I think it was mainly the voice acting that turned me away.
