I sleep with socks on all the time. Usually if it's cold, or I can't be bothered to take them off. I've never considered it a sanitary issue.

I wouldn't call it a sanitary issue. I just hate wearing socks in bed.

My toes are young and wild, they sleep nude. Since my toes are still in the fight the power stage they may eventually wear socks to bed but for now they prefer to rough it.

Haven't found it comfortable, generally won't unless I'm in the grips of illness, feeling like I'm freezing to death and shivering violently.

I've done it before when it was especially cold, but I prefer not to. I don't like wearing anything on my feet if I can help it, so I keep my feet bare.
I concur with this...

As for it being a sanitation issue, it really can't be too bad. ESPECIALLY if you take old ones off and put new ones on. I mean, if you wear your socks all the time, and they get damp your foot will become a beautiful growth medium for fungi... So I'd advise against that... Otherwise, more power to your warm footedness!

I sleep in socks if it's cold, otherwise you wake up in the morning with freezing feet. Although I tend to just leave on the socks I've been wearing during the day, so that I can put fresh ones on after I've showered in the morning

I've never heard it as a sanitation issue. The issue I and others have always had with it is that you wake up in the middle of sleeping. I've actually gone to bed with socks on purposely when I still had homework to do and didn't even bother setting an alarm because I knew I'd get a bit of sleep and then wake up. Most of the time it's really annoying and uncomfortable, though.

my mom and dad ar these old fasioned folks.
they used to say 'do you want tot grow magots in there or something'
when i keep my socks/shoes on for too lang

and thats the entire not-sanitary idea about it, socks contain a bunchlot of your sweat, which is a breeding ground for germs. seeing as you put on fresh ones before you go to sleep, no harm done, if you would have gone to sleep with the ones you wore while walking, not so good.
cept if he uses those socks he slept in to walk around with the next day? :p

It doesn't seem like there anything unsanitary about it. If given the choice I never wear shoes or socks. I like my feet to be free. Plus my feet get amazingly hot when I sleep with them on.

I don't think so at all. But I really don't like being barefoot, so it's kind of natural to me. Though I change into fresh socks when I wake up rather than when I go to sleep.

I only do it when I'm trying to hide the fact that my toenails are painted from my mother, who doesn't approve of a man doing that.
